Green leaf is an amazing little park in Charlottesville! It has a nice small splash park, 2 sets of swings, 2 play gyms, teeter tottering. Merigoround, a nice large field to play in or lay in! The only issue is the parking can be very difficult some days!!

We haven't been since the renovation, and it looks so great! The parking lot is still terrible to get in and out of, especially with the hill on half of it. The new playgrounds are really nice, and my 4.5 year old had a blast!

Greenleaf Park is a gem of a neighborhood park, especially for families with kids. The central picnic structure is great for gathering or taking a break in the shade, and the splash pad adds an extra level of fun on warm days.

There are two separate playgrounds, one for younger kids and one for older ones—both clean, well-maintained, and featuring modern playground equipment. The surrounding green space is lovely, with thoughtful landscaping that makes the park feel peaceful and inviting.

Parking was easy, even with our large vehicle, which is rare in smaller parks. That said, the narrow entrance to the parking lot could be easy to miss, especially since there’s a residential home directly at the entrance—it almost feels like turning into a private driveway. A small sign or clearer marking would help.

Overall, Greenleaf Park is a well-kept, family-friendly space with lots to offer. Worth a visit if you’re...

Love Greenleaf Park in Charlottesville. I love it mostly because I get to play with all the kids!! If you’re ever here and you see a little blonde girl with a blue bow in her hair.. she’s 7 and she’s the coolest 7 year old EVER! Her name is Lauren Cartwright. She’s a neighborhood kid who’ll one day be a star.. she can do 6.. sometimes 7 cartwheels in a row!! Wow!! Every year she gets older she tries to do another cartwheel to match her age! Her last name is Cartwright because she does cartwheels right! Haha. If you’re reading, I love playing with you sweetie, watching you and your card collection and stuffed animals are incredible!

Greenleaf is a great place to walk to, bring your kids, splash around in the splash pad, have a picnic, walk the trail, and play on the playground. It’s a sweet place. Please take your trash with you if the cans are over full. There is a water fountain. You have to get there early in the spring and summer to get a table. And it’s a hidden gem that’s full of life. All my kids grew up playing here watching it change to what it is today. A gift to the cville community. Also be nice to the neighbors and don’t park in front of their driveways or leave trash in the...
