Trust me, you won't find a more capable and personable installer than Joe Neuman of Custom Audio and Video Solutions.

My brother bought a new home this past year. It had a lot of tech that was installed by the previous owner, but none of it was working properly. It makes sense to us now because that owner made every excuse he could not to come back post-sale as promised to guide us through the setup of numerous installed video cameras, room-defined speaker systems, and even a soundbar beneath a TV that wouldn't play.

I have some experience with Home Theater installation and I was dumbfounded as to why none of the tech in this new home was working properly.

We knew we had to get an experienced installer to look this mess over. And, finding someone who is truly competent and trustworthy is not an easy task. Even when you find someone like Joe Neuman through a Google search, who has a wealth of positive reviews, there is still a level of apprehension before being able to meet him in person and see if he is capable of doing the job.

Based on the positive Google reviews, I cautiously chose Joe for the job. We met with him at my brother's home, he surveyed the installed tech and gave us an estimate which seemed quite fair.

It turns out, the original owner of the house did a very sloppy and incomplete install of the video and sound system. Joe walked me through the issues as he found them, made recommendations on how they should be fixed and was able to rewire and repair them. Throughout the process, he was careful to keep the installation clean, keeping the wiring neatly out of view.

Joe provided my brother with a solution for his multiple-room sound system that up until the visit, had not been working. Joe even made a point of walking my brother through the installation of the Sonos app on his phone, making certain he understood how to navigate the system.

As I type this review, Joe is in the process of contacting the manufacturer of the installed video cameras which we have not been able to obtain access to due to security blocks. He essentially took that burden off our shoulders. Joe will be returning to set up the cameras, its DVR system, and the mobile app.

My brother couldn't be happier with the entire installation. It's a complete nightmare to buy a home packed with expensive tech and find that none of it is properly wired. It looks like whoever originally wired the home did so in a hurry and without knowledge of how to do it properly.

We hit the jackpot when we chose Joe to do the work. He is affable, he takes pride in his work, and he makes certain to keep the homeowner updated throughout the process. He doesn't leave your home until you understand how to operate your home theater, video, or sound system. Most of all, he's very fair with his pricing. He's not going to rip you off, trust me on that.
