I'm sitting here in North Dakota craving Azteca right now. This is hands-down my favorite restaurant to go back to when I come home. It's the best rice I've ever eaten and it's currently on my mind as I eat my measly college dinner. Also, my friends and I order the chips and guacamole every time. It is the best guacamole I've ever had. It's simple yet flavorful. I have never had a disappointing experience there ever.
Along with the amazing food (I wish I could choose a favorite dish but I just can't), the atmosphere of the restaurant is heavenly and quiet. There is no loud music or screaming crowds. The majority of the clientele at night are people just getting off work either picking up their dinner to go, or they're just hanging around and eating.
I'm looking forward to coming back and eating...
Read moreWonderful family run restaurant, off the beaten path 17th street and 71 on the corner. Looks so small from outside but they have 10 tables and it was very comfortable. Charming, bright, clean, welcoming people and we really enjoyed our lunch. Went on owners recommendation and had Al Pastor, spicy pork w/onions huaraches. The salad part was cold and fresh and the meat tender and tasty. Not spicy but very tasty and truly homemade. Also had steak quesadilla's very good, with rice and beans on the side. Very generous portions, inexpensive and very good. The homemade pineapple aquas frescas was delicious! You must try if they have it that day. I looked up recipes as soon as I got home so I could make them myself at home, very yummy. Great place and you can support...
Read moreAfter stopping at 2 other local restaurants that had long waits, we stumbled upon Azteca. Small but inviting dining area. We were seated right away and treated to homemade chips and fresh salsa as we looked at the menu. Our order came out pretty quickly. I had the vegetable burrito and my wife had the steak chimichanga. Both dishes were accompanied by beans and rice and the portions were big enough that we both ended up taking some home. The vegetables were fresh and delicious. The chimichanga was also delicious but a tad spicy for her taste. Overall, we were very happy with finding this place. Definitely our new go to spot for...
