Had a great experience with Mark at Audio Answer. I called Audio Answer because I was having issues with my car microphone and CarPlay head unit. Mark called me back and had multiple conversations with me where he tried to help rule out causes that I would be able to fix myself. So he was spending time (unpaid) and going out of his way to make sure I wasn't unnecessarily spending money (at HIS business) bringing in the car to have it looked at. Which shows me he's not just out to take his customers' money. It turned out I needed a replacement head unit. Mark ordered the unit for me, and I assumed he would charge me more than if I bought it myself online, and I was fine with that given the extra convenience. But he ended up charging me the same price as it would have cost to get it online. And his price for installation was extremely fair, given that he had 1) spoken to me several times on the phone to see if the problem could be solved without my bringing the car in, 2) opened up the car to diagnose the issue, 3) opened up the car again several days later to install the new head unit once it was delivered to him. (I don't even think he charged me for the time spent on #1 and 2!) The new head unit works great (it was recommended by Mark, who helped me choose one of the more inexpensive options and didn't try to upsell me). Would DEFINITELY recommend Audio Answer and would use Mark again for my future car stereo needs. (Note: there seems to be a shortage of car stereo shops in this part of the state, so if you call for an appointment and Mark can't take you right away, just know that's par for the course for stereo shops around here these days. Mark is a true master of his craft. He installed a front and rear dashcam along with a radar/laser detection system in our Escalade, and his work was absolutely flawless. He helped me pick out and install a good, realistic sub/amp combo for my car and never tried to upsell me on things I didn't need. In fact, he usually went out of his way to explain his reasoning for why I should spend my money on better alternatives (this doesn't mean more expensive!) and always provided very realistic, understandable approaches.
At the end of my install he had me sit with him in the car and play a bunch of music that I normally listen to so that he could tune the amp further to my liking. I've never had any other shop do this for me and it was incredibly helpful. I think this speaks a lot about Mark and his business.
