Wow!!! Waltham truly has been blessed with this addition!
The sweet lady who answered my call was patient as I stumbled over my Spanish!
When my husband went to pick up - the place was SPOTLESS. He quickly realized everything was being made FRESH to order! Nothing was just reheated!
Upon returning home - everything was still piping hot, and every single dish was DELICIOUS!
Chicken & Steak tacos - perfection! The radish was a great touch, and their hot sauce - chefs kiss!
Steak Sopes - never had this before but WOW!
Papusas - THE BEST I EVER HAD! We did a bean and a spinach … so good! The sauce and pickled cabbage - perfection!
Chicken Quedadilla - straightforward and yummy - came with homemade salsa that was soooo good!
Short Rib Soup - Carne Asada - Chimichurri Parilla … the flavors were amazing! Every single bite is GONE! Oh and the tortillas …. Melt in your mouth!
Long story short - don’t hesitate … call and order! You won’t be disappointed! Every member of my family (even my 5 year old) ate til we couldn’t eat anymore … because it was GONE!
We will 100% be back! Thanks so much for sharing your delicious blessings with...
Read moreLike a story by Gabriel García Márquez, where the mundane becomes extraordinary and every page sweeps you further into its world, Juanita’s offers an enchanting journey down a path paved with pupusas, fresh tortillas, and love that you can feel and taste in the food cooked when you order.
The restaurant feels like your abuela’s kitchen, with soup bubbling happily, artwork to brighten your day and smiles from everyone around you. The magic is not limited to just pupusas and tortillas, the carne asada transports you to the pages of a story read in the afternoon sun, a story of love (carne asada), of loss (when the plate is empty), and redemption (when you order another taco).
Once you cross the threshold surrounded by the colorful blue walls, you are greeted with smiles and scents that help the cacophony of the outside world melt away. Juanita’s is a place where food is more than sustenance; it’s a way to connect with time, place, and memory.
Juanita's is truly a chronicle of a taco foretold, I’ll be back and I hope to...

I had their Caldo de res, and it was super flavorful, the short rib was tender enough for me to cut it with the plastic takeout spoon.
When we come back to the area for her followup appointment next month, we'll be back, I'd like to try more...
