Nick Lavda should feel ashamed of himself and his business. Although the ring he sold my fiance is beautiful, it is extremely poorly made. I have only had it for three months and it is falling apart. Actually, it has been falling apart since the first week. I have had to take it in for repairs 4 times in 3 months. People go to jewelry stores to purchase precious gifts for their loved ones- they expect to get the best service and the best quality for their money. I have had my ring appraised by two separate and reputable individuals who work in the industry and they both had nothing but bad things to say about the ring. They said stones were set in the halo sideways and there was no stamp on the inside indicating a brand for the ring (among other issues). They both suggested that I ask for a trade in as soon as possible to avoid having to deal with further problems with this ring. When my fiance called Lavdas to ask them about it, Nick said come on in and switch your ring out for something different. When we got there, his response was "I challenge who ever said that to you to call me and say it to my face! There is nothing wrong with this ring." He then sent us on our way. Since when is that an appropriate response to say to a concerned client? I left his store in tears and enraged. I went there to deal with a problem I was having, and instead the owner of this store made it all about him and the fact that he thinks other jewelers have it out for him. I would give anything to be done with Lavdas jewelry store forever, but unfortunately I have to take it in every 4 months to keep my warranty valid. And we all know I will definitely need the warranty since the ring falls apart every time I move my hand. Thank you Lavdas for making what is is supposed to be the most special time in my life the biggest...
Read moreWell, this place just lost two customers for life! All because of the owners pride. My wife and I went shopping around to find the perfect wedding ring for her. After seeing nothing but OVERPRICED rings( that couldn’t even come close to the clarity and quality as the one we ended up purchasing,) We went to several different jewelry stores, we compared prices to the actual clarity and color of the stones that were set inside of these rings. We took our time and we were very selective. When we finally did find the right one we took it back to Lavdas to have it appraised, the first question out of his mouth was did you buy it from us? As soon as we told him we bought it elsewhere that is when his entire demeanor and attitude towards us completely changed, he made sure everyone in the store could hear him try and tell us that we got ripped off, he tried telling us the center stone was nowhere near a half a carat, he even brought out his micrometer to measure it for us although when he did so, He bit his own tongue( turns out our diamond measured in at 4.81mm ) he even tried to measure one of his earrings that were on display labeled a half carat and it was almost the EXACT size of ours! He then began to try and tell us we got ripped off because we didn’t buy from him! ( when you buy from Lavdas your not getting what you pay for because your helping to pay his overhead on his failing wedding chapel and limousine company as well as their photo booths through certain malls that are closing. Turns out our diamond ring is INFACT exactly what we paid for! And it is SI CLARITY and H color! I really hope you read this and rethink the way you treat and speak to your future customers, we will not...
Read moreDO NOT TRUST LAVDAS JEWELERS! BIGGEST CROOKS IN TOWN! I had a budget that was clear from the beginning, $1500. They promised and swore to me up and down that they could duplicate a ring I found. They produced a plastic "lookalike" of the ring (mold) that was extremely disproportional. The liars couldn't actually do it and they still charged me for the mold. I was concerned from the beginning as to whether or not they would even be able to match the hand engraving. They assured me repeatedly it would look exactly alike and they were wrong! After speaking with the owner about the issues with the ring, they finally confessed to me that they could not replicate the ring. They instead told me they could get the actual ring for $2200 and put the $200 towards my purchase. This was still above my original budget that was clearly stated from the 1st time of 5 or more times that I walked in their store. They would not return my $200 because it was "non-refundable." They assured me over and over how it's going to look exactly like the original. I trusted them to know their own potential. I shouldn't have listened to Lavdas. I purchased the ring elsewhere because they broke my trust and left a very bad taste in my mouth. They never gave me a refund, or anything in place of my money that I wasted there. So do yourselves a favor and...
