Crowne Plaza - Warwick, RI - Grand Ballroom — Attraction in Warwick

Mixed feelings about this hotel. It’s large and has some strengths but also areas of service that require improvement. For the money rooms cost, they are spacious and have all the amenities I needed. However the air con is so noisy that you’re torn between being cool and comfortable and unable to sleep because you expect it to blow up, or warm and sticky and then too uncomfortable to sleep. The restaurant service was appalling; ordered a bottle of beer and wasn’t provided with a glass. When this was asked for, I was made to feel like I was a problem. On another occasion, many people were served and had their food after us. They’d clearly forgotten to put our order through but they didn’t admit this and when we respectfully challenged being unhappy, the manager was extremely rude. Certainly not what we expected and it disappointed us greatly. We were also surprised having stayed there 8 nights, one night our room wasn’t checked so we had no towels, and one of our party didn’t have her room checked for two days our is the 8. I read the reviews before booking; what a great place. The location was perfect!!! It was minutes from the airport, 20 minutes to Iggy’s as well very close to the local shopping malls.

Upon checking in, they had a lounge playing with great music. We walked over to check it out. The pool was very spacious and the gym was very clean. Our room was pretty big, the bathroom was very nice and had an updated glass shower door with a wall dispenser filled with quality brands of shampoo/conditioner/body wash.

The AC worked perfectly but it was a little loud but honestly having cold air, it was well worth the noise.

We had an amazing time at the Crowne Plaza. We chose the hotel because it was near the Newport “cottages.” It turned out to be the perfect spot. Every morning, we started our day with a delicious breakfast at the Crossing restaurant. It was a combo package that included our hotel room. Crossing’s menu had two options: a buffet and a separate menu. We decided to go with the menu and tried a few different types of omelettes. They were all so tasty!
