Today I placed a mobile order (Venti iced shaken oatmilk brown sugar espresso with vanilla sweet cream cold foam and a sausage egg and cheddar). I pulled into the drive thru, as I always do. I notified them that I placed a mobile order at the speaker and they told me it wasn't yet ready. No big deal, it wouldn't have been ready yet if I had ordered it directly at the speaker either. However, when I got to the window the guy working told me to park my car in the lot, come inside and wait for my order because there were others ahead of me in the queue.... If the line was excessively long, I could understand having me pull up and having someone run my order out, or if I had some massive order with a million things, or even asking me to come back around in the drive thru. But there is a reason I ordered AHEAD and also went through the DRIVE THRU. Because being 7 months pregnant with my kids in my car, I didn't want to nor have time to find parking and go inside and wait. Totally ridiculous and lacking of common sense. In what world does it make sense to tell me to come inside and wait for my order that if I had ordered the same exact order through the speaker with NO NOTICE they would have prepared for me and handed me out the window. I go to this Starbucks every single week day, I have spent $3,355.00 in the past 18 months, according to my bank account - $470 of that has been in 2023 alone. I am honestly so aggravated by the entire situation I literally don't ever want to go to Starbucks again. I'm sitting in there for 15 minutes waiting for my coffee as I see them put up order after order for people who aren't even in there waiting. Totally ridiculous. I am the last person to complain just for the sake of complaining but there was ZERO LOGIC to that and for the amount of money I spend at that place, the least they can do is shut off the mobile ordering if they don't have the ability to fulfill people's orders without making them exit their vehicle and come inside and wait. I would have just ordered through...
Read moreFirst off, I’d like to say that watching the baristas moved is like watching a really good artist create their masterpiece. They know exactly where their ingredients are, how much to add to a cup, how fast and how long to mix, steam, pour, pinch, dash, stir etc to get the ultimate masterpiece of a drink and the number of combinations that are offered at a Starbucks is mind-boggling. The baristas have all of this in their heads and don’t refer to any kind of cheat chart, they just “go” and quickly. So when I say that I stood for longer than 5 minutes to wait for a coffee that needed no mixing or stirring or steaming, you can imagine the amount of other drinks they must have been fixing ahead of me to make me wait that long. But, here’s the point of this review. They were BUSY, they were cruising along doing their magic and just before they got to my drink which only required a pour from their coffee pot, they handed me a Starbucks card and said that they were so sorry for my long wait and appreciated my patience. THAT is good customer service on top of quality coffee! I wasn’t being impatient. I was going to sit and read a book, no big, but the fact that they noticed that they had a customer waiting while they were busy is striking. Kudos to you baristas!!! Nice work all around and thank you for the...
Read moreIt is the eve of the long awaited summer solstice, where the blossoming buds of an eager spring mature into the vibrant flowers of a summer full of endless possibilities. Now me, I awake from my seemingly endless slumber in a warm, dripping sweat; The first telltale sign of the changing seasons. Once the initial shock and mild irritation due to waking up damp has passed, my body begins to violently shake and convulse uncontrollably. At first i'm alarmed, then i remember my savage, unrelenting addiction to caffeine. But not just any caffeine will quell my unquenchable urge. No, its never been that simple. The only place that can satisfy my craving is the StarBucks on 578 Greenwich Ave, Warwick, RI 02886. I try to run, to resist the temptation but this location haunts me in both the waking and nightmare worlds. Every time i close my eyes I see the always wonderful Lydia making my Grande, iced, sugar-free, vanilla latte with soy milk. She truly is the best. I try to scream, but the best i can do is muster out “grande”. I’m like a sea captain following the song of the sirens, lured to certain doom by irresistible temptation. That temptation being reasonably priced drinks and food and a great set of...
