Airport park is a very nice park. My second time coming here gave me the opportunity to ride my bike on what I thought was one trail... NOPE!!! This park has MANY trails that you can ride for hours! There’s also spots to watch airplanes take off and land since you’re right at Regan Airport.

Given that this park is very popular, your best bet is to go when it’s less crowded. Also, this park provides space to have picnics as well. Too much to pass by in one day when you’re riding the trails, but for anyone who’s looking for a good walk/run/ride in a nice park with pretty good scenery, then I’d highly recommend this park.

If you’re traveling- plan ahead. You will run into MD/DC/VA traffic depending on when you go... but otherwise you’ll have...

Airport Park is a fantastic spot for a relaxing picnic while enjoying the unique experience of watching planes take off and land right overhead. The park is well-maintained, with plenty of green space, picnic areas, and a great view of the runway.

Having lunch while watching the planes was both exciting and peaceful, making it a great stop for families, aviation enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a different kind of outdoor experience. Despite being close to the airport, the atmosphere was surprisingly pleasant, and the sight of planes soaring above made for a memorable visit.

Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys aviation, open spaces, or a unique...

Good place to watch the planes. Bring shade water snacks earplugs if you’re not into loud sounds

The planes are very infrequent compared to somewhere like Dulles so don’t go in expecting constant plane watching.

The parking lot is free (though horribly setup). There’s a nice bike trail along the water. The porta pottys were clean enough and had plenty of toilet paper, though the flies inside the toilet were awful.

The food trucks are total scams. $10 for a soft serve ice cream cone that will already be melting as they give it to you. $14 for a truly...

Gravelly Point, located just north of Reagan National Airport in Arlington, VA, is a unique park best known for its thrilling up-close views of airplanes taking off and landing overhead. Set along the Potomac River, it also offers scenic views of D.C.’s skyline, picnic areas, and a bike trail. It’s a favorite for aviation enthusiasts, families, and cyclists. The noise from the planes can be loud, but it’s all part of the fun. Free to enter and easy to access, Gravelly Point is a one-of-a-kind spot for a quick outdoor adventure.

Small park in a big area; lots of space to relax, picnic, workout, or just watch the planes flying over on approach to DCA (Reagan International Airport). Plenty of porta-potties on site for life's emergencies, and a good length of paved trail for bikes and peds alike. Upon walking onto the main grounds, you're greeted with a bike rental if you want to ride around and enjoy the views, or bring a blanket and some snacks for a quaint picnic and watch the planes fly over. Definitely one of my "go-to" spots in the area.
