We stumbled on this store on our way into Mt. Rainier park. We enjoyed talking to the owner while we looked around his store. It has photographs, paintings, ceramic pieces and other locally made items. I really liked some handmade, pepper grinders made of various wood he had but decided on a wall vase. I make it a point to buy local art whenever I'm out looking for souvenirs. I will definitely swing back in to this store when I'm in the area again.

Way more than pottery here, they have a diverse selection of paintings, photography and books. It's much bigger inside than it looks. I don't know how long they've been there, however I only went in because my girlfriend wanted to check out their pottery. I really enjoyed seeing the old climbing books and guides, some signed by local climbing legend, Dee Molenaar. There's also old climbing gear hanging on the walls.

The proprietor of this store is a retired art teacher and was so incredibly kind and welcoming to my kids, ages 6 and 9. I was nervous to bring my kids into a store full of fragile treasures, but was so glad that I did, as he welcomed them warmly and entertained them with his vintage postcard collection, and even encouraged my daughter, a budding artist, to help him paint a bowl he was glazing. The store is full of beautiful, reasonably priced, hand-crafted artwork from local artists and I was tempted to buy everything I saw. There is also a fantastic collection of PNW art on display from the past century that is not for sale and was an absolute delight to peruse. Both this store and it's owner are absolutely gems and I highly recommend stopping by if you're...

Rick and Janna are community members long in the best of standing in Ashford and I've known them since childhood, but a recent visit as an adult who hasn't been in their current shop for years reminded me of what welcoming and friendly hosts they are. We stopped by for a chat and a look around and I ended up with 6 beautiful watercolor and photo cards from their featured artists and my husband really enjoyed their free museum of Northwest artists and browsing all the beautiful artisan merchandise. Stop for a free gander and a chat, or to take something truly special home to remember your time on the mountain. These people and this shop really embody the cozy warm feeling one most wants when visiting a mountain location,...

If you’re staying near the area or just passing through, this pottery studio, art gallery, and bookshop is well-worth the stop! There is a free art museum within the gallery. Spend as much time as you have looking at an extensive collection of prints, paintings, including art depicting the local mountains and Pacific Northwest, and work by local artists.

Lots of lovely pottery— old photos and postcards make more original souvenirs for your trip to Rainier than something from a gift shop, and at super reasonable prices. Plus there are lots rare and unique books to browse— truly something for every...
