I’m writing to share an upsetting and unacceptable experience I had at your store on Thursday night.
At 10:52 PM, I was shopping for a few items and had one last item left to grab before heading to checkout. Suddenly, a Target employee named Darren loudly announced over the radio, “There is someone in market,” and then aggressively approached me, yelling: “You don’t have any more time to shop! You should have come earlier!”
I calmly responded that I still had 8 minutes until the store closed, as it was only 10:52 PM. Darren shouted back, “No, you have 2 more minutes,” and at 10:56 PM, he called security on me—despite the fact that there were still other customers in the store. His tone and volume were so aggressive that I physically jumped in fear. I let him know I was heading to checkout, but he continued yelling at me in a way that felt completely uncalled for.
The security guard on duty witnessed everything and apologized to me for Darren’s behavior. He even asked if I wanted to continue shopping, clearly recognizing how inappropriate Darren’s conduct was.
Still shaken, I asked the supervisor on duty, Michael, for the name of the employee who yelled at me. Michael claimed not to know who I was talking about, even after I gave a full description. He showed no concern, offered no help, and didn’t take my experience seriously. When I later pointed Darren out to him at the front of the store, Michael said nothing and simply walked away mid-conversation, pretending to be busy.
By the time I left, I was deeply rattled. I will not be returning to this Target location. As a Black woman, I was especially disturbed by how I was treated—completely disregarded, yelled at, and made to feel unsafe in a public space just minutes before closing. The store closes at 11 PM, and there was absolutely no excuse for being yelled at and treated as if I was doing something wrong at 10:52 PM.
The fact that security had to intervene and apologize on behalf of an employee is deeply concerning. I truly hope this review is taken seriously. No one should be made to feel this way while simply shopping—especially not moments before...
Read moreThe staff here seems really unhappy. We come to this store because it’s close. Today was more unpleasent then normal. We were buying a bunch of diapers as a baby shower gift. We read all price tags (sevral of which were incorrect) with quantity counts and brands. One of the endcaps had a deal featuring Honest Diapers buy any TWO or more 80ct, 76ct, 60ct and 50ct and get a 10 Dollar Target Gift card. Thought this was great, as we could include it as part of the gift. We read the tag carefully to make sure the boxes we picked up were the correct count and brand. As we were checking out, the gift card was not issued. When we brought it up, the cashier called over to another cashier who was waiting to take over for someone else. She asked the other cashier if she knew snything about it. The other cashier said it was probably a ‘Cartwheel’ deal. When I said I have no idea what that is, my friend asked if it was the app. She said yes. As we tried to down load the app, our cashier said she was tired and seemed pretty annoyed with us. She did not try to call over a manager to help us. When we finally got the app to download and asked her if she knew how it works, she said she didn’t know and didn’t offer any further help. As this was happening Maria walked by and asked if everything was okay. Our cashier said nothing, so I spoke up. Maria tried to find the deal in her gadget, but couldn’t. After we explained that we read the tag very carefully, she said it must have been an old deal and instructed our cashier to give us 5 dollars off. Our cashier stared at her and said she didn’t know how. Maria tried to verbally cue her through how to do it, but itwas clear this cashier didn’t want to be helpful whatsoever. She was rude to us as well as Maria. Maria was very pleasent during this whole transaction. It would have been helpful for someone to actually go check the endcap. If it was an old deal, then it was false...
Read moreAs I approached the Target located in Watertown, a sense of dread began to seep into my bones. The building itself loomed over me like a malevolent beast, its walls stained with the dark residue of ancient, unspeakable horrors.
As I entered the store, the stench of decay assaulted my nostrils, mingled with the sickly-sweet smell of rotting meat. The aisles stretched out before me like an endless maze, and I felt as though I was being drawn deeper and deeper into a nightmare from which there could be no escape.
And then I saw the workers. Their eyes were sunken and hollow, their skin a sickly gray pallor that seemed to glow in the dim light. They moved through the aisles like silent wraiths, their movements slow and deliberate, as though they were puppets being controlled by some unseen force.
As I made my way through the store, I began to see glimpses of the true horror that lurked within. Products would vanish from the shelves and reappear in grotesque, twisted forms. The sound of whispering voices filled the air, their words too twisted and guttural to be understood.
But it was when I reached the back of the store that I truly understood the extent of the terror that lay within. There, in a small, cramped corner of the store, were the workers. They stood in a circle, their eyes glazed and vacant, their bodies contorted into grotesque shapes. They chanted in a language that was not of this world, and I could feel the cold tendrils of madness creeping into my mind.
I fled from the Target in Watertown, my mind shattered and my soul forever scarred by the unspeakable horrors that I had witnessed. I know now that there are things in this world that are better left unknown, and that the workers of that accursed store are among the most terrifying...
