Butter Bird is a decent concept. It drew us in to give it a try. In order to have a great concept you would need to execute otherwise it’s meaningless . We paid 53$ for what is on a level of fast food. We tried the biscuits which were drenched in honey or something and hard as a rock . The fries we not hot, the street corn was on the Cob (Not Ribs) and cold like it came out of the fridge. Now to the main courses the Thuy Chicken sandwich, it was wrapped to go because we wanted to sit outside, being wrapped this way the hot honey sauce was soaking the last few bites of the soggy bun, the batter didn’t completely cover the chicken leaving it over done and stringy. The basic Chick sandwich was also not completely battered and left the chicken stringy and some spots tasteful and other dry as hell. So being the end of summer we wanted to sit outside, there outside seating area was very sticky and looked like it has never been power washed which with this type of food attracted more bees than was comfortable to stay. We left and didn’t finish a single thing we ordered. It would have been more fun to light a 50$ bill on fire and...
Read moreFairly spacious inside. Decent space for waiting for take out. Inside, they have few small tables, self seating. With the combo option, you're basically getting a drink for free. They have self serve fountain machine or you can choose the drinks behind the counter (sweet tea or strawberry lemonade). I got the Basic Chik combo (tots). The sandwich is big and very filling. It is served on a buttered brioche but with the sauce and butter, the bottom piece of the brioche is very soggy. Agree with others about the tots. It's not tater tots, they are bigger and very dense with a filling inside. Also got the street corn to try, this was very disappointing. Besides slightly hot flavor, the corn is very bland. I would be back for the sandwich and maybe try the...
Read moreEmpty on a Saturday night… I didn’t expect BAD. I tried the namesake sandwich and it was way too salty, the chicken didn’t ‘taste like chicken’ and even the bun didn’t seem fresh. Really it didn’t matter that I had paid over 2x what I would pay elsewhere for a sandwich and fries. It would have been bad at any price. I was also the only one in the place (ah, now I know). It’s outfitted like a fast food shop with metal tables and chairs that were chilly given the door was propped open. The woman at the order counter was nice enough but since I was the only one in the place it would have been nicer to get my attention that my order was ready. I ended up eating the fries (nothing great) and throwing the sandwich away after a few bites. Such a...
