Read moreI played this course for the first time in a couple of years this past weekend. I grew up in Waukegan and played here my whole life. The course was as beautiful and well maintained as ever, but it seems as though revenue over anything else has hit here like everywhere else. I was glad to see a starter, which keep things in order at the 1st tee. That’s where order, etiquette and pace of play ended. We walked 18 holes and waited several minutes between EVERY SHOT while the group ahead of us thought they were playing in the US Open and studies every shot and every putt as if their livelihoods depended on it. Read moreI was born in Waukegan. Bought a house in Wkgn, ran a flooring business for 18 years in Wkgn. Paid sales tax, property tax, . Played Bonnie a year ago. I have foursome at 12. I also have a league match at 4.. people were waiting for me at first tee. At 4. So I go directly to first tee to start league. I'm thinking I'll pay after... starter let's me go. We hit our balls and going to 2nd shot. Here come Mike the manager in a cart waving papers in his hand saying somebody didn't pay!!! Now this jerk for a measley $35. Screaming at us. Pretty embarassing... he could have waited. And ask the president of our league to investigate.... Mr. Mike because of your actions I am done with your course. Your need to go back and learn manager skills. Your actions saved the course $35. But lost hundreds maybe thousands of dollars for my future play.... Mr. Mike it's not a country club.. it is just a park district course.....Arrogance...
