Don't even get me started. Well, Google askdd me to leave a review, so here we go...
This was my first time at this location and I WILL NOT be going back. Yeah, the self ordering kioks are cool, innovative and new, but the service from the crew here is just terrible. The kiosk asked me at the end if I wanted my receipt emailed me to go along with my contactless payment or if I could wanted it printed out the front counter so I selected the front counter and nothing came out I was started waiting there for over 15 minutes for my food and everybody that was working there kept just looking at me periodically even the manager that was making the food looked at me like I was there to arrest them or something. It was uncomfortable and I waited very long for two spicy potato tacos until I said something and was asking where my food what is, and the manager made some noise and had the other lady make the food real quick but those potatoes were cold and it wasn't even good. Just bad overall experience. Thanks for nothing I guess? After finally receiving my food heading for the door but I walked back to the register and asked them about my receipt and they looked at me like they didn't know what I was talking about I don't know if they couldn't understand me but I tapped on the receipts next to the register and may have said "mmm oh", and then she was tapping her screen for three minutes I'm guessing trying to print it out, but then asked me for money... She rang up the order off the receipt on top of her stack again.. After getting the manjer, they said they can't do it there or at least that's what I think he said, I couldn't...
Read more“It looks like anywhere in America” you might say of this particular mixed-use corner lot of outer Waukegan. The facade of Taco Bell, in the newer muted white-purple-grey colorway looms over the treeless intersection of York House road and the arterial W-34 like a sandstone bluff presiding over a modest river confluence, unless the cube-on-pavement banality goes unnoticed on your way through town. You are fooled though, if you believe no hidden splendor is to be found. The slightly uneven asphalt grading of the parking lot holds small ephemeral pools after a hard rain, and the expansiveness lot of the adjacent commercial group development gives a “big sky” feel, reminiscent of road trips through flat western states. If you linger a while, you’ll find the heartbeat of this place. LED lampposts announce the arrival of twilight, and people arrive in seemingly coordinated waves for the walk-in half of the restaurant which opens and closes for strangely arbitrary hours. Does the restaurant deserve credit for the peace of the parking lot though? Is the wildfire response for the blooming meadow the year after? Even if it’s source is arson? I’m not sure, but maybe I would hold the eatery itself in higher esteem if this location were willing to accommodate the “fresco” menu option even if the official pico ingredient was nixed with the pandemic-adjusted 2020 menu simplification (most locations will still oblige). Regardless, I wish I was still there, bearing witness to the straight-piped Hondas screaming their way through this...
Read moreBe cautious here. My wife and I placed an order online for pick up. No big deal right? Everyone does it. Well apparently they're too incompetent.
We placed our order and went in to pick it up. Taco bell already charged the card and we had the receipt. We went in. NO ORDER. We gave all the details and talked to the cashier. Poor girl had no idea what I was talking about. Frustrated I asked for the manager. She showed up and apparently barely spoke English cause she would only say two things to me "so your order was $21.85?" and "come back to see other manager tomorrow. I can't help you".. What??
So we shrug it off. Whatever. We'll come back. I call the next day. X manager isn't there. Shocking. But whatever I can wait another day. Calls again next day and asks for x manager. Turns out the manager who could only say two things WAS X MANAGER. I hung up on her.
I tried one more day and still nothing. So almost a work week later and I was out money and food. I even called taco bell in Zion IL on Sheridan road. Within five minutes they helped me, they couldn't refund me but they gave me corporates complaint line and I called and got my order refunded and we went to zion taco bell the next day, got my order right, said thank...
