Waukegan Public Library — Attraction in Waukegan

It's a nice library and clean however the only complaint I have to give is from some of the current employees. I took my 2 year old son because someone told me how nice of a place it was for children to enjoy themselves... now I know it's a library but kids are kids. My son was playing along with some other children and they were laughing and making noise having fun and a worker came along and told them to be quiet because it wasn't a park where they can play and also told them to put some of the toys away because they didn't belong where the children had took them in a very rudely tone. Correct me if I'm wrong but children like to have fun that's what the whole point of children area is for right? Why else would they have things for them to play with. We clean up after...

Not good experience with operators, they make different rules for this library while I generally go to Gurnee library and always had wonderful experience with those guys. Whereas these Waukegan library people give hard time accessing anything related to passes or any freebie. I really regret paying taxes here because I don't get any good easy response from these even after paying a lot. This would definitely affect buying houses in Waukegan because not many people will prefer moving to those locations where this library...

I've been looking forward to establishing myself with the waukegan library. Today I went to get my library card and fax and print some items. While eventually it all got done. I was disappointed with the staff. The woman who helped me with my library card was amazing! However the woman with short dark hair has no customer services skills and was rude and unhelpful. I do plan on returning for some children's books, that's what most intrigued me to sign up for a card. Hopefully staff will be more...
