This by far was the best constructed escape room we have ever gone to! My wife and I have been to 4 different establishments between St. Louis, MO and Waukesha, WI and done 8 rooms and nothing has compared to the workmanship of this room. The room was constructed nice enough to live in it and the workmanship was excellent. This added to the experience because you actually felt like you where in a real cabin and not just a room or a poorly constructed room. There were also ambient sounds and storm systems that rolled through on the speakers which enhanced the room. We saw new puzzles we have never seen before and there were no combination locks which enhanced the experience. The story and construction of clues and puzzles was probably the most well thought out of any room we have been in. The owner's hints were also well done and from our conversation with him, his hints are unique based on the skills level he is seeing from the group which was also very nice. Another unique aspect of this room is that the hints come when it looks like you need one vs requiring the participants to ask for a hint. This isn't to say that you get hints without asking but if you are really struggling to understand something, he may give a slight push which we found helpful. I was very impressed by all the automation he had programmed into the room and also quite impressed by all the areas where hidden clues or needed objects came from. I would highly recommend trying this room as I am confident you will like it. We escaped with 6 minutes left which we were told was the...
Read moreA couple friends and I had a great time at the Capone’s Cabin escape room last night. We’ve done a couple rooms in the past and are fans of puzzles and games generally and this room was well-designed and hosted. Our only small gripe is that we were given a couple hints unprompted. Having completed the room with 15 minutes to spare, we’re left wondering whether we would have completed the puzzle in time. That’s really an us problem as we could have asked for no hints (or ignored them since given in text), but that’s also a critique of escape rooms overall in that you can never predict the difficulty on any given day with any given group and a blanket 60 minutes might not always be the best form, just an average. This room was very well-conceived with enough variation to maintain interest, clarity when you had solved a puzzle, mechanical locks and advancing mechanisms instead of combination locks, a charming if campy pre-show video, good world-building, and in our case a super enthusiastic and great host (Shane). We chatted a bit about the room, the spot, and Solve’s future rooms and we hope to try all of them if we’re back in...
Read moreGreat escape room. Everything was very well done, there were a great variety of puzzles that made the escape room feel very refreshing and immersive. Not a single aspect was missed while making this escape room, if you are looking for an escape room that is fully immersive and will make you forget where you are, this is the place. Also if you are looking for a challenge, this’ll be perfect for you and your friends. My group of arguably the smartest and most adventurous people of my graduating class only finished Al’ Capone’s Cabin with only a few minutes left to spare. My group will definitely return to challenge your next room Steve, thank you for making such a great experience for us. Please check this place out, you are missing out on a wonderful experience...
