Coincidently I was a secret shopper for this restaurant.ive been doing this part time for 2 years,I own 2 small businesses & enjoy doing this in my spare time. I find it interesting,to go out & explore different options, for me personally, I do restaurants & sporting events. At this culvers location on hwy 164, for only the 3rd time for me, in nearly 1100 secret shopper reviews, this Culver's scored a perfect score. The things that were to be graded were
#1- were you greeted coming in with a smile #2- cleanliness of dining area #3-product freshness #4-bathrooms #5- customer service.
To be honest & transparent,I believe I am a tough grader, but very honest & fair, believing no one is perfect.
As I went through the process,I really tried finding something that wasn't perfect,I could not, this culvers, aced it all, with perfect scores, to me were amazing & deserving to the highest level.
#1-I came in with a soft chip on my shoulder,on purpose, seeing if their would be a negative reponse, there was none, zero, they were perfect.i came in talking about marketing & the difference in cost & price on purpose & I needed to eat healthy as I truly was diagnosed with pre- diabetes / diabetes, just 3 weeks ago.the response by the 2 females & the manager was absolutely 💯 % perfect, they could of responded snarly or with an attitude, perfect they were ,the manager had recommendations on eating healthy. THE 2 FEMALES at the counter were over the top friendly & helpful,I felt like family instead of a customer, they were so helpful & concerned I eat something healthy, she even commented I give you credit searching it out on the menu.( it's only been 3 weeks, hopefully I can stay on top of it)
#2- the dining room area & condiment area again 100 percent perfect & clean (AMAZING) it was lunch for God's sake.
#3- the food could not have been any better or fresher.i took managers suggestion on the pot roast sandwich & soup, again top notch perfect,is this really happening out to eat,in today's world,ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. MY FOOD LOOKED SO GOOD,IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS PULLED RIGHT OUT OF A MENU & SLID ONTO MY TABLE,THATS HOW GOOD IT LOOKED & TASTED.
#4- THE BATHROOMS WERE SO VERY CLEAN, IT WAS VERY RERESHING,WITH ALL THATS GOING ON,COVID & OTHER.
#5- CUSTOMER SERVICE,was again ACED 100%,wen I walked in within 2 steps,I was greeted not by one, but 2 front counter people, with both smiling saying welcome to Culver's,as I explained my diabetes 2 situation, all still new to me,she took the time to explain a few things on the menu & did not seem phased at all or inconvenienced, but rather very eager to help, service like this rarely exists anymore.
IN CLOSING, LIKE I SAID EARLIER, IN ALMOST 1100 SECRET SHOPPER STOPS,ONLY 2 OTHER PLACES EVER GOT A PERFECT SCORE & TOTALLY ACED EVERYTHING,CONGRATULATIONS TO THIS CULVERS OWNERS,MANAGEMENT TEAM & ITS WONDERFUL STAFF,A JOB WELL DONE...!!! 1650 east MAIN STREET

While traveling through Waukesha, WI this past weekend I went out of our way to get lunch for my family at the Culvers off Hwy 164 (1650 E Mail St.). After ordering we pulled up to the drive-thru window to pay and I politely asked the employee if he would please throw away my son’s Culver’s cup from the previous day’s meal. (I had looked at the drive-thru area and they did not have a garbage can there.) The employee said very abruptly, “No I can’t.” I responded back, “Are you serious?” and he said very abruptly, as he was taking my AmEx card for payment, “Yes I’m serious. It is our policy not to take garbage from customers. Corporate states that we cannot take garbage.” I then asked to speak to a manager, he rolled his eyes and whispers something to the guy next to him. This gentlemen approached the window, identified himself as the manager and also stated that he cannot take garbage due to the fact people could give cups of chew or other items.” I’m thinking to myself you boneheads (actually I was thinking of another word)! You can clearly see it is a large, mostly eaten cement mixer from a Culvers store. (You could tell from the CULVERS© logo written on the side of the cup.) With disgust I paid for the meal and promised myself that I would never go back to that store and share with as many people as I could this story, encouraging them to visit any other Culvers. (Ironically there are several within a 5 mile radius.) I received a call today from the store manager and during the call I openly call the owners shortsighted and too cheap to spend the $350 for a commercial garbage can at the drive-thru. I also expressed that I would go out of my way to share this story. So in conclusion please join with me in not giving any business to this store. Culver’s 1650 Main St. in Waukesha. (Knowing how businesses track social media I hope that Culver’s corporate reads tis message and make it mandatory as part of the franchise agreement that store install a drive-thru...
Read moreMe and my fiance recently moved to Waukesha and wanted to try out a new burger joint we would love and replace with the old one we used to go to. We had high hopes for this establishment, but it has faltered a bit. The first time we went, the food the great (even though they still had a cheese on it, when i ordered no cheese). I let it slide until the 2 and 3rd time we went. The second time we went, I ordered a Culver's Double with no cheese, no tomato, and add extra ketchup. I got a single hamburger, with 1 pickle and light ketchup. There wasn't even any lettuce on it. The 3rd time we went, I ordered the same thing. Plus a few other things. So here is what we ordered: Culvers Double with no cheese, tomato, and add extra ketchup. With onion rings, and an Oreo shake. 2 crispy chicken sandwiches no tomato, extra mayo. 1 large fry and large drink. (Mind you, he didn't say what he wanted for a soda. The drive through person just said to pull up). Here is what we got: My sandwich was done correctly this time. However, they made all three sandwiches a meal. So my fiance didnt get a large fry, he got 2 smalls I believe(white package) and we got an extra drink (mountain dew?) Plus his Pepsi that he was okay with. I really do like the food they have, I mean LOVE it. My fiance loves his chicken and fries. You have won his heart to a point. It just saddens me that our orders have been in-correct. So, we have stopped going for a little while, and will go back when we decide to try again. I just hope that our food is...
