I am 78 years old and 6 weeks following my left knee revision surgery by Dr. Oliver Scotting - a much more involved operation than the full or partial replacements conducted by others unaffiliated with MCW in the previous 5 years. He was highly recommended by contacts I luckily had within the medical field as a superb surgeon which I heavily relied on in choosing him, knowing that I was otherwise not in a position to evaluate revision specialists based on online reviews or experience of patients as I had done previously. Dr. Scotting, to my surprise, took whatever time it took to address questions in pre and post-op conferences, without feeling rushed about it. His support staff was exceptionally responsive to adjusting post-op meds to address changing pain issues which seemed normal to the course. The only drawback is that he is really busy, with quite a long wait for actual surgery - a wait of months that I feel was well worth it in light of my overall objective.    Read moreHospital is good, no issues there at all. Their billing is a complete nightmare however & I'd only go there in the future if it's a life threatening emergency. I'm still getting bills/collections for my daughter's surgery in 2013, YES 2013. I have & always have had good insurance & I've already paid money out of pocket for other bills related to the surgery. It seems like I pay one thing, then they bill me for something else later when I think it's all good. Idk what's going on & it makes me think they're just bombarding me with miscellaneous bills to confuse me. I requested an itemized bill so I can see what mistakes they're obviously making to apparently overcharge me. That was over a month ago but I've still received NOTHING. Meanwhile they're screwing up my credit. It's totally ridiculous & highly frustrating. I asked their collection agency, State Collection Service, if I'd get a receipt thru email if I paid one of the bills right away.    Read moreUpdate: After talking with their "customer advocates" per the feedback left below my review, after a couple weeks of trying to get ahold of them, they are just friendly voices to tell you that they are right and you are wrong, they are denying everything. I can for certain validate not this is a great place for care, but an ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE establishment when it comes to the back end billing. Very unfortunate that such great care staff are under this reckless organization. Unless you have 100% covered healthcare STAY AWAY from this place, they will destroy your credit. My son was seen be doctors here and Children's. They made a mistake recording his information and it was declined by insurance because his name didn't match. They said they would correct it and to hold off on paying until the correction was made and submitted correctly to insurance. Instead they sent all the bills to collections.
