So this place was OK. I have a lot of questions. Number one, why does the place feel really not clean and dirty? Like the slides probably are well cleaned, and they looked like it too, but on the other hand, the building looked pretty old and it looked like it probably was something else. Number two, I would not recommend taking a kid under five the reasoning for this is at most that little kids won’t even get their own place section for themselves. There was a lady outside standing and I assume that she was watching the play section. Well I mean she was, but she wasn’t really watching it. Like my kid easily snuck in, even though we informed her that it was wrong. She was also there with his friend and they seemed to be having a great time. My four-year-old was quite literally disappointed to see that his play area wasn’t even that good. The big kids enjoyed it more than the little kids can. I also bring a two year-old with me. We were meant to be there for four hours since we live pretty far away and we don’t get to do this a lot. We ended up leaving two hours later because my two year-old was screaming my four-year-old(he also autism) was running around and running in front of the slides, which I tried to get him to stop. and the two big kids were just tired and wanted to go home. I don’t recommend going on a public holiday. If you wanna wait a long time for slides some of the slides don’t seem safe though. I’m not being crazy or anything because I did try all the slides out as well, but it was completely chaotic as on one of the slides. I literally flew up into the air although that seems really fun also for the slide where you go down and then you go up, which basically leads you to something like an exit seems like you could easily smash your face. They should put more safety measures and make some weight limits. I saw a literal eight-year-old(because his mom was chatting with me about how much fun they were having) go flying up into the air and then hit his head. His mom ran to him, but it seems like he didn’t really care and just continued going down the slide slides. But the little kids area isn’t worth it. There’s literally another way you can exit into so the main point is if you’re going for any kid under five don’t but if you’re going for any kid over six, you’ll have a...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with my experience at Slick City. The lack of supervision was alarming, and it made for a very unsafe and frustrating visit. Parents were allowing their kids to run wild and cut in line, and there were no employees monitoring the slides or the general area. There were no employees stationed at the top of the slides, which is a huge safety concern, especially with how chaotic it was. The employees that were on the clock, cared more about talking with each other in the front of the business rather than being on the floor where the kids are.
The "Little Kid Area" was supposed to be for children under 45 inches, but that clearly wasn't being enforced. There were several big kids in that area, pushing around the younger children, making it a dangerous environment. It was clear that no one was ensuring the space was safe for the kids who needed it most.
On top of all of that, the place was filthy. I’m not sure if it was understaffed or just poorly maintained, but the state of the facility was unacceptable. Out of all the employees we encountered, only one seemed to care about their job. The first person we spoke to at the front desk hadn’t even completed the safety training, and we were given no clear directions. However, when we went back to buy the extra wristband for the go-karting, one employee was friendly, informative, and actually walked us through the process.
Overall, Slick City needs serious improvements in terms of safety, cleanliness, and employee training. I would not recommend this place unless they make...
Read moreOk, so I was really excited to try this place. I love water parks, roller coasters & all that. So this was something I was looking forward to with my kids — 13, 7, 9, & 3! Expect to pay about $30 a person, so it’s not cheap.
We had two adults go so we could switch off with the toddler. I’m going to first start off by saying that the toddler area is small. There’s not much for a 3 year old to do, but she still enjoyed it. The worst part about the toddler area is that it is HIGHLY UNREGULATED. You are supposed to be 45 inches or less to get into the toddler area, but there were a bunch of teens running around in it & was impossible for my 3 year old to navigate the jungle gym safely. I had to get in there and climb around with her and check some kids who were pushing through younger kids. The staff did nothing.
As for the bigger slides, the staff there were busy talking to each other. At no point did they tell you how to use the mats properly or how to safely go onto the slides. Every single one of us left this place with an injury. Some minor like burns on hands. But like for me, going down the yellow slide that flings you into the air to then land on a mat, I hit my head/nose so hard on the mat that its been 14 hours now & I still have a migraine from it. I initially thought my nose was bleeding or that I broke my nose! My chin also has a burn on it from it.
All in all, I think the biggest problem we had was that staff didn’t regulate or control the people there. Nor did the other kids parents. Leaving us with a bad experience and a reason to...
