This new park is easily found in a cute neighborhood of Tosa. We originally went to see Mama Rosa, the newest art installation by Thomas Dambo, but ended up finding a fantastic park for all ages and abilities. Mama Rosa stands over 25' tall, and to see her in person is amazing. She has been created with reclaimed and recycled materials found in the town, including lamp posts that are representative of fireflies. But also notice the various lamp posts around the park; they are damaged and represent Mama Rosa's walk into the area and the damage a lady of her size can cause. Take the time to appreciate the entire area as you walk through. The park is incredibly well designed; there are action areas for all ages and abilities. We watched several children with disabilities enjoy the equipment fully. There is a pump track for bikes and skate boards and this includes a bike repair station for any mishaps that may occur. I have included many photos of the areas because there are too many to list. There is astro turf in several areas also for ease of use, no mud and wheelchair access. There is a bathroom conveniently located, and benches for parents to use as the kids blow off lots of energy. Sight lines are wide open so watching the kids play is easy and safe. Parking is another story. I actually feel sorry for the neighbors who live in this neighborhood, as the cars are parked everywhere! Be kind and avoid driveways and don't leave trash. There is no designated parking lot. There are two handicapped parking spots that are great for vans with mobility ramps right at the...

His artwork can be found in 20 countries and 40 US States. We first fell in love with Dambo’s work at the Morton Arboretum outside Chicago, and we were giddy to hear he was bringing his brilliance so close to home.
The emotion carved into Mama Rosa’s face is absolutely breathtaking.
🌿 Crafted from recycled wood and old lampposts from Wauwatosa
🌼 I love that this park took the place of an old landfill and brought rejuvination and life to the area just like Thomas Dambo did for these recycled materials.
👧🏼👦🏼 It's the perfect spot for family picnics. Plus, engaging playscapes and two bicycle pump tracks!
🚻 Bathrooms onsite.
May Mama Rosa remind us all to stop and smell the flowers—and recycle a little more often ♻️💐

Read moreWe found this park scrolling through the internet in the area where we were staying. We are from out of town and found this park. This is a hidden gem of a park nestled near the downtown area of Milwaukee. We went to view the troll but there was so much more to do once we were done taking pictures of the troll. They have a small walking path around a lake or pond, a dirt bike and scooter area for kids to drop into like a ramp, jungle gym equipment, and a lounging area for parents to sit at with picnic tables. I felt relaxed and comfortable enough to let my kids run all over the area. The park had limited parking when we arrived and we had to walk a bit to enter the park. Our kids enjoyed the area and there were many other families there enjoying their time...
