Red Barn Flea Market — Attraction in Waxahachie

Bought a lamp from booth 17A-105 specifically bought it because it said on the tag that the lamps works. It in fact does not work. Couldn’t test it there because it was unplugged and no light bulb in it. Lesson learned. Pretty much traveled two hours to buy a lamp to literally throw in the trash the cord couldn’t be replaced in it. Been coming for years but it’s just too dang hot in the summer. There are areas of walls missing on the outsides, and roof areas that are like sunroof. I like coming here but I don’t last very long maybe 15 min with the heat I almost passed out there last time, all the fans do not help. And if you need help lifting anything heavy they do no help load it. Bought a very large dresser and the male employee there told us “we don’t help load anything because they don’t offer us health insurance if...

Red Barn is a great place to go and discover ! This was only my second time going there, but that's a good reason for going back ! It's a great place to discover ! If you love antiques, there's plenty there to browse through. Especially in the two story section. One suggestion, if your going at this time of the year, go early. The only A/C, per say, the have are fans throughout the building. Otherwise, be ready to be hot ! But of course, all the antiques make it worth while. Went in just to relive the experience of antiquing and didn't have any expectations. Actually found an extremely large assortment of items and price with both presentations ranging from overkill to zero effort. Finding much more vendors who actually cared how their inventory and overall booth were presented was great to experience. There are a lot of local artists and DIYers who have booths here and I personally love the "Shop Local, Shop Handmade" booths.
