A Culinary Gem in Texas: An Unforgettable Dining Experience: Prime 115
In the vast landscape of culinary destinations across the United States, there are few that leave an indelible mark on the hearts and palates of their patrons. Nestled in the heart of Texas, this superb restaurant, Prime 115, stands as a testament to the art of fine dining, where every visit is not just a meal, but an experience to be cherished.
From the moment you step through the doors, you are greeted by Michael and his team, whose courteous and attentive service sets the tone for the evening. Their professionalism and warmth are unparalleled, making you feel like a valued guest in their home. Having dined at fine establishments across the country for decades, it is rare to encounter a staff that embodies such a perfect blend of talent and hospitality.
The true star of the show, however, is the culinary genius in the kitchen. The chef crafts dishes that are nothing short of extraordinary, each plate a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. My wife, a gourmet cook with a particular expertise in Mediterranean cuisine, was left in awe. Her Greek heritage and culinary skills make her a discerning critic, yet she found herself raving about the dishes more than any other place we have visited.
The menu is a symphony of flavors, each dish thoughtfully composed to highlight the finest ingredients. Whether you are indulging in a succulent cut of meat or savoring a delicate seafood creation, the food could not be better. Every bite is a testament to the chef's dedication to excellence and passion for the craft.
Beyond the exquisite food and impeccable service, the ambience of the restaurant is unique and undeniably classy. The decor strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, creating an atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. It is a place where time seems to slow down, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the moment.
I have never used the phrase "dining experience" lightly, but this establishment truly embodies the essence of it. It is a place where every detail is meticulously curated to create an unforgettable evening. If you find yourself in this area of Texas, it is imperative that you dine here. It is not just a meal; it is a journey of the senses, a celebration of culinary artistry, and an experience that will linger in your memory long after the last bite.
In a world where accolades are often given too freely, it is not possible to bestow an adequate one upon this restaurant. It is a rare gem, a beacon of excellence in the culinary world, and a place that redefines what it...

The food: I ordered the Prime ribeye for $60 and my wife had the filet for $48. Upon being served, it was apparent that steaks did not appear to be prime cuts and looked nothing like the pictures on their website. And, they just didn't taste good. They were similar quality to what one could find at an interstate chain restaurant for around $20 each.
The service: We arrived on time for our 6:30 reservation and there were few patrons at this point. The hostess tried to seat us at a table near the entrance close to a guy singing karaoke. Immediately, I knew this would be too loud to have a conversation. So, I politely asked for another table, in which I received an "eye roll."
The good news is the hostess quickly realized that I witnessed her response and quickly course corrected. I apologized for being a bother, she said "no problem" and found a much more desirable table, so we were all good.
The waiter was great, drinks were just fine, and the table service was well done. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time.
The atmosphere: Fantastic building with great ambience. It is an old bank building from early 20th century. Its a great room for a restaurant and provides great areas to take pictures or look around. However, I would consider eliminating the karaoke singer or at least turn the volume down. Strictly my opinion, it is a bit awkward watching a guy walk around the tables with a microphone in a restaurant that charges premium prices.
Finally, I love local restaurants and believe Prime 115 has the potential to be an outstanding dining experience. However, this was our third visit and now believe we have dined here enough to arrive at a fair conclusion.
I don't expect "Pappa's Steakhouse" by any means, but the reality is that if you are going on a date night and plan to spend over $100 per person, you may be better served heading into Fort Worth or Dallas.
Best of luck Prime 115 and I wish you nothing but success. You have great opportunities before you and I wish you the best in...
Read moreMy husband and I went to Prime 115 to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we walked into the building, we knew this place wasn't going to disappoint. The music playing in the background was a selection inspired by Sinatra and perfectly paired with the ambiance. We had a reservation at 7:15 but arrived at 6:30 and decided to see if a table was available sooner. The hostess was able to switch tables and get us seated right away. As we walked through the first floor dining area, we were surprised to see that what we thought was a DJ or radio playing the music was actually a live singer.
We were seated at our table, and our server greeted us immediately. The wine selection was impressive. Since I knew I wanted steak, I opted for a Malbec, and my husband went with the Osborne cocktail. The server returned to inform me that they were out of the Malbec but had a Cabernet that was similar in profile that would pair nicely with any steak option. I took her recommendation and was very happy with the Cabernet.
To start, we ordered the brushetta and crab cakes. The crab cakes were so delicious, and the crab was perfectly seasoned. Brushetta has always been a favorite of mine and also did not disappoint. My husband ordered the Domonico Steak (20 oz.), and I ordered the Filet Mignon. We also ordered the shrimp risotto, truffle Mac and cheese, jumbo asparagus, and button mushrooms as sides since we didn't know the sides came "family style." I'm happy we ordered what we did because we got to try so many of their offerings. Both steaks were cooked to perfection and so tender they cut like butter. The risotto was also cooked and seasoned perfectly. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. Even the vegetable options were fantastically flavored and well cooked.
We ended the night with their NY cheesecake. Our server informed us that they order this cheesecake from NY. It was so flavorful and somehow both dense and light at the same time (you'll have to try it to know what I'm talking about).
Overall, there wasn't anything we didn't like about this place. It definitely is a place we will celebrate at again next year. I also look forward to bringing my friends and family here...
