Overall the park itself is a very nice park usually really clean and quiet however something that I continually deal with when going here is that a lot of people like to bring their bigger dogs into the small dog side which bothers me because I have a weiner dog that has a fragile back and I’ve had to turn around and take him back home because people are too inconsiderate of others. There is two sides. Small dogs and BIG dogs. Medium sized dogs are not small dogs! The two people in the photo are what made me write this review. They brought a pitbull and what looked to be a lab mix into the small dog area just as I was walking up.

Overall, this is a great dog park and I’ve really enjoyed bringing my dog here. However, on August 16, 2025, my dog was attacked by a brown pit bull named Zeus, owned by Mariana, and suffered a serious leg fracture that required emergency care and surgery. What’s most concerning is that I learned Animal Control has no authority to issue citations or ban aggressive dogs, so Zeus could return to the park. Overall, the dog park itself is great, but I wanted to make other dog owners aware so you can be extra cautious.

Love this place! So much better than the old one. The only negatives is I wish they had a second water fountain for the large dog park on the opposite side, up on the hill so we didn't have to convince our dogs to go to the other side to drink. And of course, the never-ending problem of people who don't pick up after their dogs. But my dogs love the park and go their often!

Well this was my first time going to this dog park. I adopted a dog last Thursday and wanted to take her out there to let her just run and play in a safe secure area. As our fence is down right now while pool is being installed. Before I went I read the reviews. 1 review said the parking needed some improvements. Ha that was an understatement. Also GPS puts you on the wrong side of the entrance not even on the right road . 1 of the rules of the park are you must remove your dog's leash before they exit the enclosed entry way to enter the actual park. Now I completely understand this rule and agree. However since there was no one else in the large breed over 27 pounds area and my dog is over 27lbs. I went to enter that side. But was reluctant to release my dog from her leash because I wanted to walk the area and perimeter to check to see if it was secure because I could see what looked like a large gap in between the fence and the large gate at the back side of this area. So since there was no one else there i walked back there and sure enough the gap was large enough for my dog to get through easily. And all around much of the fence was large gaps under the fence. They had tried to place large 18 wheeler tires ,logs ,cones and large rocks in some of these gaps but most of it was not secure for a 40 pound dog. And this park sits just of the road from a very busy high traffic road that is known to have people speed through there, and this is the side with the large gap in between the gate and fence. And the other side is a wooded area ,God forbid your dog get out and see a rabbit or something you might not be able to get thier attention before something happened. I'm sure as my dog and I get to know each other better we will go look at it again but I will take the truck next time ,not my car !!!! And I will check the see if these problems are resolved. Would love to be able to take her somewhere so she can just run it out play it out. Me walking her several times a day just isn't enough. Now if this had been me and my old BABY GREAT DANE whom I had been with 14 years . NO PROBLEM HE WOULD HAVE LOVED IT. HE WASEN'T GOING ANYWHERE. BUT EVEN WHEN HE WAS 5 YEARS OLD HE WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY INTERESTED IN THIS GAP IN THE FENCE AT THE BACK GATE . PLEASE FIX THE FENCE AND BACK GATE. ALSO UNFORTUNATELY THERE WAS DOG POOP IN THERE THAT SOMEONE HAD NOT PICKED UP !!! PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG !

I HAVE TO SAY IT IS A BEAUTIFUL SPOT FOR A DOG YOU HAVE HAD A LONG TIME THAT LISTENS TO YOUR COMMANDS VERY WELL. NOT FOR NEW...

I have been to this location twice. The first time I took my puppy, there were small and large dogs in the same gated area. I was okay with it because it was just 2 large dogs and all others was small dogs. My dog enjoyed it. They need to have a sign on the gates to separate the two, one sign on the gate for large dogs over 30 lbs and on have another gate for small dogs 30 lbs and under. Because the second time I came. Walking up to the gate I noticed only 1 other small dog, then several large dogs ran towards the gate as I was opening it, so I closed it back. They were two pit bulls, Sherman shepherd and rock waller. We did not enter. We stood outside of the gate looking in. The other small dog started running down the grounds and one of the large dog attacked him, the owners had to run down the to the ground to stop the dog and get her puppy, she was carrying him back. I don't know how bad the dog was hurt, after seeing...

We love this dog park. We have yet to be there when others are though. All the reviews I read on FB had the same message. Loved it but no other dogs! Last I was there, There was a flyer for a meet-up group on Sundays at 12pm though. There is plenty of space and separate spaces for big/little dogs. They even have a set of PVC agility equipment on both sides, Teeter, 2 hoop jumps, and weave poles. the jumps and teeter are smaller on the small dog side. If you are looking to meet up with other dog owners search the FB group I just created called Wags-a-Hachie Meet ups. Lets fully utilize this beautiful resource of our city! Oh I also found it easier to park at 1446 and College and take the Hike & bike trail down to the park. The parking lot nearer the entrance is a dirt/rock lot and so it's muddy...
