Davis Museum — Attraction in Wellesley

An astounding collection for such a small college.

Excellent work done by staff in the stories told about the artists and how each fits into his or her context, no surprise given Wellesley's art department's sterling reputation.

I had such a lovely time at this gallery. The art was wonderful and I thought the four Mosaic in particular was beautiful. I actually noticed it from the second floor and didn't realize until I got downstairs that it was not a rug and in fact was a mosaic. The day I visited I was lucky enough to meet one of the directors her name is Mary beth. She was phenomenal and had such a wealth of knowledge and information about pretty much every single art piece that I had any questions on. Museum is well organized, neat, and has great art! I have been here a couple times so far and I look forward to the next time I return here. The art within the museum is a variety and is incredible. I have been to a variety of art museums and I believe this is one of my favorite art museums because it’s unique, better art in my opinion compared to other art museums, well organized and easy to navigate around, and I enjoy the architecture of the museum building itself.
