Pretty sad with my last experience at this location. I’ve came here now 4x and the experiences before were far much better in scoop size. I even had to check the company’s Instagram page to see if I was just over reacting. Anyway, I ordered 3 scoops in a cup last Monday and the girl working seemed overwhelmed. I was in line and she helped out the family after me. Just because I’m one person, I had already let one person go ahead of me, but now she helped an entire family before serving me? One of the flavors I wanted was the peanut butter honeycomb and it reached the bottom of the bin, she gave me the rest of it but it was not even enough to be considered a full scoop. Maybe just a half scoop, for the other two, she scooped them so they were also half scoops. I left upset because I basically paid for a 3 scoop only to have gotten really 1.5 scoops. The ice cream is so good and the closing members who work during closing match the IG standards. Maybe the one working this mid shift was in training or she was just alone, but I didn’t like how she just sent me away. Not even good customer service either by telling me thank you or have a nice day. I still ended up tipping...

Review: Sweet Scoops Ice Cream Parlor
If you’re looking for the perfect mix of nostalgia and indulgence, Sweet Scoops is the place to be. From the moment you walk in, the smell of freshly made waffle cones hits you, and you’re greeted with the friendliest smiles behind the counter.
Their flavor selection is both classic and creative—think creamy vanilla bean next to lavender honey and churro crunch. I tried the sea salt caramel and pistachio combo in a homemade cone, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had. Rich, smooth, and not overly sweet.
The store itself has a cozy, retro vibe with pastel decor and plenty of seating, both inside and out. Prices are fair for the quality, and portions are generous.
Whether you’re just treating yourself or bringing the whole family, Sweet Scoops delivers every time. Highly...
Read moreI knew Wellesley had a new ice cream spot, but I wasn’t in a rush to try it—I assumed it would be your typical shop with the usual mainstream flavors. Oh boy, was I wrong!
Van Leeuwen blew me away with its bold and unique ice cream offerings. I tried the Mango Sticky Rice and Sweet Corn & Blueberry flavors—both were absolutely delicious and such a refreshing change from the norm. They also had amazing options like Earl Grey Tea, Strawberry Matcha, and Blueberry Jelly Donut, just to name a few.
We ordered the Mango Sticky Rice ice cream in one of their freshly made waffle cones, and a Brown Sugar Cookie Dough milkshake—both were incredible. The shop itself has a great vibe: the color palette is fun, the music selection was on point, and the space was spotless. The woman at the counter was super friendly and welcoming.
I also appreciated the variety of vegan options—something you don’t see often around here. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of...
