GO DURING THE WEEK IF YOU CAN AND IF YOU CAN'T, GO TO BATHROOM BEFORE YOU GO IN. Glad we went to restroom before driving in. You will sit in traffic for hours with no bathrooms and can't get out of the street blocks its so crowded. This is a drive through of city blocks to look at people's houses. I have gone to candy cane lane every year for about 20 years now. Usually it is great. This year I was very disappointed. From the time we got there until the time we left all we did was sit in almost stand still traffic. We spent 2 hours there and only covered about 2 blocks. It was awful! The decorations are wonderful as usual so no complaint about anything but the traffic. Would highly recommend but only on weekdays when it is not...

One very disappointing aspect are the large number of homes who were 100% "lights out" with their TV'S on inside. Talk about BAH HUMBUG!!!! These properties should NOT get any tax benefit from city of West Allis as they clearly are protesting something and so against the grain...it leaves a really bad taste in your mouth. The whole concept continues to be a community tradition that started years ago by family with an ill child.
