I had no idea this wonderful store existed. They offer you fresh produce canned items frozen items dried items you can find almost any kind of bean or pea. They have spice’s that are extremely difficult to find even online and at very reasonable prices. I am able to find most of my oddities, that normally, I can only find at very expensive spice shops.
I would highly recommend this store to beginners in cooking, because of the prices also because of the many different things you could never find, at a common chain store. Just going into the stores is fun, because of all of the different items one is able to see, smell and explore. The kids just love looking at everything and all the different candies definitely not normal, for candies, cookies, you find at the other grocery stores.
It excites me that I am actually able, to write a review about the store and how wonderful the people there treat you. They help you find anything you’re looking for and if they don’t have it they are willing to see if they can get it for you. What a gem to have in our...
Read moreDesi Market opened up! Hooray!! I went in to check it out and found a wall of coolers full of Indian food and multiple isles filled with nice looking Indian groceries. The guy at the counter made me feel right at home and left me to slowly look at every isle. I got yummy layered mango jelly candy, coffee flavored cookies (great value) and a bag of crispy filled rounds. Each was unique and really good, and reasonably priced! Next time I'll be looking for some frozen Parantha Aloo, flatbread with potato stuff inside. I know it's within those coolers! Update: Found the aloo Parantha and they are fabulous! They come in a 4 pack. You just toast them in a dry pan...
Read moreBeen here a few times since they opened. Nice to have an IndoPak grocery store in the West Allis area again. Positives are that it's clean and spacious. Selection of frozen and dry goods (naan, rice, flour, etc.) is sufficient and the prices are reasonable. But the deal breaker is the sub-par produce section, which is one of the reasons natives go to IndoPak grocery stores to begin with. Selection is smaller than other area stores, and what they do have is not that fresh or of good quality. Witnessed this to varying degrees on all three visits, so they need to do a better job selecting and handling their...
