This is a fantastic performing arts center. They bring in many up-and-coming acts. As well as shows that tour internationally. There’s not a bad seat in the house, so if you’re going for any type of show that doesn’t require you to be up close in anyway, like for a magic show, then save yourself a couple of hours. Don’t worry about sitting in the front center section. Every seat in the house is fantastic, bathrooms are nearby and the performing area is right inside the front door. Tickets can be purchased in advance for all of their shows, but are also available at the box office. I have seen two shows there over the past five months, both were variety, entertainers, and because of the intimacy of the Room, it’s always fun to stick around after the show for the meet and greet and get a few photos with the star performers I recommend getting on there Facebook page or signing up for their mailing list. They will send you a brochure annually with the upcoming shows so you can plan your afternoon or evenings out long in advance.
What’s especially nice is that they have a Sunday matinee shows that are perfect for kids. The prices are reasonable, around $25-$40 for a ticket and if you live in the northwest suburbs of Detroit, you won’t find another performing center like this outside of any of the high schools for about 50 miles. Be sure to...
Read moreWe had an excellent experience at The Berman. We selected our seats online and that was a very user friendly way to view the seats available and click to get 2 together. We were in row H right in the middle and those were great seats. We easily paid with a credit card with a small fee added and it was also an easy process. The friendly attendant at the door of The Berman scanned the code on my phone and in we went to easily find our seats with the little metal markers on each row and each seat. When we sat down we both looked at each other and smiled and my partner said, "These are great seats." I was contemplating a closer row on one of the side areas but since this was our first time I went with middle center. Actually any seats are good in this theater because of its cozy size. The sound was great. The dedicated entry was also lovely and I was really enamored with the conductor statue. So appropriate and so very well done. This place is creative, classy, clean and well done and we'd go back...
Read moreTouring companies of international excellence for stage and music. Located in the Jewish Community Center. An art gallery, bar, snack bar, two pools (one indoor, one outdoor), classrooms, nice camaraderie for unaffiliated (and affiliated) Jews, indoor basketball courts gone amok as a safe respectable place where black kids dominate the courts and play ball with token Jewish kids who can't jump. New pitch and putt golf. And poolside, hot women in bikinis work on their tans. Wear dark sunglasses if you're going to stare. High regard for campus security. Bring...
