Urban Living Furniture — Attraction in West Carson

Such a disappointing experience with this company. We purchased a sectional couch on September 11, 2019. We were told by our salesperson, Rick that it would take roughly 5-6 weeks to come in or LESS. Well, our sectional did not come in until mid- November, three months later! Not only was that much later that we anticipated, but it was really inconvenient as we had been waiting so long and the company made no effort to keep us informed. WE had to call THEM to get updates and they just kept on with the same excuse that the company making our sectional was backed up because of the holiday.... WHAT HOLIDAY??? I've never heard of people specifically shopping for new couches in September and October?? When it finally was ready, we expressed our frustrations and the manager offered us a discount on our next purchase with them. That was kind of him, but it's a little frustrating that the discount couldn't be applied to the purchase they took so long making. But wait, there's more... we went in person to pay for the couch to have it delivered to us, and they charged us $200 less then the originally agreed upon price unbeknownst to us. They then began harassing my husband with multiple calls per day for 4 days straight, and only one with a voicemail telling him to call them back but giving no explanation as to why. When he finally had time to call them back on his day off, they asked for him to pay the remainder of the balance, $200. That was just a slap in the face after everything because it was THEIR mistake. We will never be going to this business again, and we will steer all of our friends and family clear of them as well. I bought a fantastic sectional from this place years ago. After shopping at R.H. and H.D buttercup , CB2 , buying and returning 2 couches from living spaces , not finding exactly what I was looking for, I stumbled upon this place. I happened to look up a furniture brand on the internet that I know is well made to see where they are sold and that’s how I found this place. That couch has held up for years. Solid wood frame and very resilient cushions. I’m almost hesitant to write this review as I’ve kept this place as my little secret spot. My home is often filled with company and children and the couch has stood the test of time. I’m not sure but I think the person who showed me around the store was the owner. If he wasn’t he sure acted like a boss, in a good way. Wonderful people. No gimmicks or sales fast talk, just real knowledgeable. This was years ago and I’ll be coming back soon for some more furniture when I move. If I could give 0 stars I would. I live a mile away from this place and they constantly run advertisements stating that they are "going out of business" but they are still here. It is FALSE ADVERTISING to get you in the store.

See for yourself if you don't believe me, you will find out when you go in to try and make a deal and they don't give you anything but 10% off there already high marked up prices. This place is a joke. We were fooled last year 2020 and now have mediocre sofas and a dining set with already flattened seat cushions, cracking wood tables and wobbly chairs.
