Oh and I wanted to share it's run by a husband and wife a duo who are in recovery and they're pretty much you know it's more business to them than it is It's business it's not personal and you know what you can't do that in this kind of field because it is personal we are humans and we are being and you can't judge us like that You can assume all you want we're all just one drink away or one whatever away and people don't seem to understand that so but you know granted you know I guess they're entitled to you know they're fancy trips to Puerto Rico and girl time spas and you know all this stuff I just seen the other day one of the staff members outside purchasing boosted I think it was boosted cologne outside from another person and he was hassling him because he said it was 40 nots 30 and I was looking at them like man that's a that's just messed up you know You know it's just it's like you know it's a joke It's a complete joke. And their mental health department there The interns are fantastic but they seem to be in rotation about every 3 months so it's very very hard for someone who's been traumatized for so long and dealing with copernic mechanism such as drug abuse or or whatever they may maybe they're not going to negative coping mechanism it's it's sort of hard to just you know finally be able to trust somebody after being that they're they're your therapist for 3 months and then they say oh okay bye here's the next one You know and none of its confidential they share it all about to everybody not just head of staff and mental health but these share it throughout the whole building even corporate. And it was funny because I just went to court the other day and my case manager was in the same courtroom as me just finished his probation You know kudos to him but you know it's just I don't know it leaves feelings of you can't trust it You have to build a special bond in a rapport with the therapist if anything to start a healing the trauma process so all they're really doing is take putting a bandit on and ripping it off consistently and that's building more and more trauma what they're doing this just so you know these interns can get there whatever they're they're internship in or whatever but it's at the expense of us the veterans the mentally disabled the addicted the youth in there the...
Read more2 stars because the mental health department is the only reputable part of ASH. Safe Haven are thieves, prejudice against non-ghetto black people, and are VERY anti LGBT. ASH hires felons from robbery and gun cases to be staff over the 4th floor-no place to stay Population housing mostly house arrest detainees, and expects staff to have enough integrity, and desire to be righteous, honest, have a good heart, and make fair, mature, unbiased decisions.
On March 1st I was Assaulted on Safe Haven Camera by a house arrest participant- the Staff protected him simply because staff- meaning the program director Rodney, likes him on some street stuff. The program director even couldn't hide his chuckle when I told him I was assaulted.
Like your teacher protecting a bully in class cause the teacher thinks he's cool too.
My left eye was bruised and I was not asked did I need medical attention until I called CPD and the Police asked if I needed medical attention at which point Rodney then got embarrassed he was uncovered as a man who doesn't give a darn about people- and said in a irritated voice "if he knew he needed medical attention we woulda of taken care of that"- which is UNTRUE because he saw my bruised eye, just like the police did, and chose to not care because Rodney was HAPPY I got hit because he doesn't like my demographic.
My offender was allowed to stay on property, go out to see his probation officer, and he returned around 9 PM-
I told staff he was still here and they protected him being there, gaslighting me telling me to calm down. At midnight I was woke up by Cook County Sherrifs telling me safe Haven kicked me out- meaning Rodney himself. And I was displaced.
I was not allowed to retrieve my coat, shoes, sock- being escorted out the door, when my mom went to pick up clothes from Safe Haven while I was in jail,
my mom discovered my Wlectronics , cash, prescription glasses, Towel, some clothes ect were STOLEN by 4th Floor STAFF. I need someone to reach out to...
