Update: The maintenance staff, namely Ekrem and James, are always quick to clean and fix anything. The building has also fired and replaced the front desk with competent concierge.
First, let me say that I have lived here for nearly 4 years and, under Related's old management, the building was pristine -- I never had a single issue, rules were enforced, management was visible and involved, and it was a true luxury building. A few months ago, Willowbridge took over management and the building has completely unraveled. I honestly don't know what I am paying for anymore.
Let me be clear: this is no longer a luxury building; don’t fall for whatever deal they are selling you. I am not sure if they are desperate for residents or are renting out certain floors or units to lower-income, but they are truly letting anyone lease here nowadays, without vetting. Here's a taste of what to expect: residents are constantly throwing parties and blasting music in their apartments and common areas on weekdays and weekends, walking around with open alcohol, littering garbage everywhere, the hallways constantly reek of weed/cigarettes which drifts into your apartment, the elevators are regularly broken so you have to walk up multiple flights or wait 15 minutes. Put simply, there is no decorum or enforcement of rules at Landmark.
For example, we are only allowed two guests by the pool which supposedly closes at 10pm. That is never enforced. Good luck enjoying any of the amenities spaces because people are always bringing 10+ friends and kids over, blasting music until 1am by the grills, and constantly disturbing residents at all hours. Under Related's old management, there was actual pool staff who would check guest IDs and shut down any partying or music. Kids are also regularly running around in the gym. Under Willowbridge's lazy management, there is no staff anymore and the concierge and leasing center turn a blind eye.
The building is also not secure. The door staff is a hit or miss and runs the gamut of being cordial to completely lazy and incompetent. Packages are constantly lost. None of the door staff check visitors' IDs anymore nor do they call residents before sending up visitors. Once, my sister came over to stay and they gave her the spare key to a completely different unit (didn't even ask for her name or ID). There are no safety measures anymore such that a complete stranger could walk into this building, ask for the spare key to a random unit, and rob the place. No surprise, there has been a string of robberies going on in the attached parking garage and Willowbridge has done nothing to ensure resident safety. The concierge is nowhere to be found most of the time on the night shift (and if they are, they have headphones on and don't watch people coming in and out). Under Related, you would have to fob into the building after 10pm. Not with Willowbridge! Also worth noting that the door staff is now contracted out through a totally different company, so Willowbridge truly has no control over their responsibilities or hiring/firing. Overall, I sometimes feel unsafe living here as a woman.
The last straw for me was when a resident started blasting off fireworks from the loading dock at midnight a few weeks ago. It was so close to the building that the fireworks actually hit my bedroom window. The concierge phone no longer works, so I had to go downstairs myself to ask the resident to stop. Instead of stopping, the resident and her family threatened to assault me. Willowbridge's response? "Sorry that happened."
Suffice to say, do not be fooled by the nice interiors or proximity to your office, Target, and restaurants -- Willowbridge does not care about you or the building. I along with the other young professionals who have lived here for multiple years are in agreement that this building has taken a turn for the worse and we cannot wait to move out. I will not be renewing my lease in the Spring, and I look forward to moving into a nearby Related building. I highly...
Read moreDO NOT LEASE HERE. STAY AWAY!!! If i was able to give a negative star, i would. Definitely one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had meeting with 2 ladies who work with leasing. I’d like to start off by saying that we know a tenant who has been living here and she loves living here. We have visited the property several times. Used the amenities several times. NO ISSUES. First time meeting with leasing reps. We scheduled an appt at 2pm to tour the property. We then later realized that time wouldn’t work. Only option to change the time was online. We changed it to 5pm. We arrived and waited 20 min in lobby. Someone finially came out. A Latina women. She did not introduce herself. She was not thrilled about meeting us. She was visibly upset. She initially stated we didn’t have an appt but she would “still give us the tour.” It was in a very rude tone. She also said she had a tour at 5pm and we explained to her that it was us who scheduled at 5pm. She said it wasn’t us and rolled her eyes. I asked her why she was so upset and that she made us feel uncomfortable. She then responded that she didn’t feel comfortable giving us a tour. That’s where she repeated that we didn’t have an appointment and we continued to apologize for that confusion but would still like to see the apartment. She walked away. The tenant who lives in this property was extremely embarrassed at this point and stormed after her. We stayed in the lobby. After another 20 minutes, another lady showed up. Again, didn’t introduce herself and ignored the entire party present and stated she would show us the space. We got to the elevator and before entering i asked what else is in the lobby(since she didn’t show us anything in the lobby) she said mailroom. (There were other things to show us but she didn’t bother) we let that go and went up the elevator. Her body language and facial expressions was giving upset. We entered the apartment were she continued this attitude. Proceeded to discipline my 6 year old for no reason. Barely spoke or gave us any information as we looked around the place. We took the elevator to the floor with amenities. She continued with her attitude. We finished seeing the pool area and i decided to have a word with her. I expressed that her body language and tone with us was unacceptable and we didn’t appreciate being treated this way. We were essentially guests and she wasn’t very welcoming or friendly. (Being this was her JOB!) SHE REPEATEDLY SAID WE DIDNT HAVE AN APPOINTMENT, AND THAT THERE WAS SOMEONE COMING. At this point, it was 5:45, no other guest showed up and there were TWO OF THEM AVAILABLE to give tours if the other “guest” suddenly showed up. So i told her well, there are two of you. She then had the nerve to say “well i was on the phone and i was forced to get off the phone to give you this tour. I was in untter disbelief and shock. MANAGEMENT?! What are you thinking having these 2 lunatics representing your property?? To told her she wasn’t very good at her job and she single-handedly lost a potential new tenant. Will not be letting their behavior go. I will be escalating this. I’d like to quickly add, prior to entering this property, we noticed the building next door. We had 30 min to take a peak. With no appointment, JASPER, From next door, gave us a very thorough tour, sat us down, answered every question i had and did it with a huge smile on his face. VERY, VERY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE! We will sign our lease next door....

He monitored my movements through the building’s cameras, left notes in the system about everything I did. It crossed a line into invasive and inappropriate behavior.
During my move-out, he falsely accused me of stealing a cart and refused to open the loading dock door, leaving me outside in the rain.
Additionally, the building’s annual maintenance policy allows staff to enter units when residents aren’t home. One time, while I was at work, a maintenance worker entered my apartment for a routine kitchen sink check but proceeded to use my bathroom without permission. I witnessed it on my in-home camera and asked about it through the speaker. Instead of responding, he and another person laughed.
The front desk also consistently mishandled Amazon packages. Many would go missing and were never found, likely because no one made an effort to check. Oddly enough, the only upside was that Amazon would usually refund or replace the items once I explained the front desk lost them. So in a way, I didn’t pay for several orders over the months—thanks to their total lack of accountability! That was great!
Another time, a maintenance staff member tried to unlock my unit without knocking. I reached out and was told “person was one of the painters that mixed up unit numbers. It sounds like you also already spoke with him, but in case he didn't clarify he thought the apartment was vacant, which is why there was an attempt to enter.”
Couple months ago I left two trusted friends on my guest list and dropped off my house keys at the front desk with a written note explaining they would be stopping by to water my plants while I was away. The front desk lost my keys in the span of 45 minutes. Eventually, another staff member located the keys, but then she was let go the following month or so for reasons that were never explained. She was the best staff member and actually cared to do her job right.
This is not luxury living. I updated my review from 5 stars to 1 star.
One more thing to be aware of: many of the 5-star reviews mentioning staff members by name were part of a building-run incentive program. Staff received rewards based on how often they were named in positive reviews. Residents often participated to support their favorite employees—not necessarily to praise the building itself. If you read closely, you’ll notice many of those reviews are directed toward individual staff, not the property or amenities. Meanwhile, the consistent complaints about trash, sewage smells, noise, and elevators being down for months—those are all accurate.
Over the course of my three years here, I witnessed a constant turnover of staff and management companies. At this point, it’s no surprise—it clearly reflects deeper issues within the building’s operations...
