We are very unhappy with our dealings with the company Panama Banana. We are a motor carrier that had a load of fruit salad to sell (which was rejected by a Receiver). We contacted Stephen Alexander at Panama and were told that we would get around $3.00 per pound for the load. After we gave them permission to sell the load we found out through email (we had to ask many times for responses) that they sold the entire load for only $1.04 per pound, which is not at all what we agreed to, nor were we advised of the massively large difference between what was "quoted" and what they actually got for the load. When we contacted Mr. Alexander to question why this happened, and how he could sell a whole load (which he told us in this conversation, but indicated he sold only 1/2 of the load in prior email) for such a low price, he hung up on us. We strong urge people not to use these people to sell anything.

Check-in starts at 4am, the gate fee is $40 cash/t-check/com check/ EFS - no credit/debit cards… update — I've been to Panama almost every week for the last 3 1/2 years now, all the staff at the check-in area are friendly and helpful, and the two in receiving are always quick to get ya in and out. It’s nothing for me to walk in and get a good morning, what’s up, or are ya in a dock. They have become good friends. It's always great to come here and see ya guys. Catch...

Parked outside the gate (not recommended, there is a Road Ranger & Pilot truck stop about 2.5 miles-get there early as possible, parking limited). Gate opens at 0330. Security guard is friendly and helpful. Panama Banana opens at 0530, so i had a little wait. Once doors opened i was in a dock and unloaded fairly quick. Backing into docks can get tight when trucks start arriving. Early arrival is strongly recommended. Word of caution-trucks coming and going, be careful when backing into dock and...
