I work in the service industry and have never actually written a bad review about somewhere because I want to give them the benefit of doubt, but I have had a very disappointing experience at CPR. My phone screen broke, only half of the screen, so My husband brought it in to get a new screen. We paid $300, and when my husband brought me my phone, my screen was very obviously malfunctioning. It seems like certain spots of my screen don’t work. I have trouble unlocking, typing, swiping etc on my phone. All of things weren’t happening even with my half broken screen. As this is very frustrating because I run my business from my phone, I understand things happen. It’s the way it has been handled that is disappointing. I went in with my 7 month old baby, and to be honest struggled to get his stroller in the door, to which no one helped. They replaced my screen and I thanked them but then shortly noticed it was happening still. I went in and out 5 times that day, (not a single time did anyone help me get in that door with a stroller) trying to show them it wasn’t working and them trying to say they couldn’t see it. After well over too much time spent I left. My husband called and asked for our money back for our phone that is pretty much not usable so that we can go somewhere else or get a new phone. They then told us we can either get 50% refund, or they can put my old broken screen back on for %100 refund. So we opted for that even though it’s a huge hassle. They then called us and said they didn’t have my screen anymore, and I would have to get a random persons broken screen on my phone in order to get a refund. We talked and weren’t sure that I felt comfortable with them putting a random persons broken screen on my phone especially the situation given, so we opted to finally just say we’ll take 50% back. My husband went to get it and they sent him away and said the manager wasn’t there. Then the manager called and told my husband he didn’t know what he was talking about, that he never said that. Random broken screen on my phone or no refund. He also preceded to tell my husband that I could never show them the problem on my phone. Long story short, I just had just a simple broken screen that needed replaced and now I’m left with a practically unusable phone and a company that is unwilling to make it right. On May 10th, I took in my Kindle Fire to see if they could fix my charge port (very common issue with Kindles). The guy told me about 1week, $70 and they would call when it was done.
I stopped in on Monday, May 23rd to ask about it because I had yet to hear anything. Two guys were there and said finding the right port was an issue and I would get a call the next day. Tuesday the 24th by 630p I had not heard from them so I called. I was told that the tech wasn't in and I would get a call on Wed.
Here I lost my patience and was rude to the poor guy on the phone. For this, I apologize because I took my bad day and frustrations out on him and he did not deserve that. No excuse. He was very professional and tried his best to help me.
Wednesday the 25th I received a call and was told they were overnighting a part and would have it ready asap. He apologized for the delay and offered to take off half the price I was quoted. I was promised another call when it was done.
Thursday the 26th they called to say the part was in and it should be done that evening. I thanked them and said I would pick it up the next day.
Today, the 27th, I went to pick it up. One of the guys said it'd be about 10min to get the back on. He came out with it and explained and showed me exactly what was wrong with it and why it took an extended amount of time to get it done. Unfortunately my motherboard had to be replaced so I lost my info from the old. It's working like new now. He said he wasn't charging me because of how long it took.
Now you might be wondering why I'm still giving them 5 stars. Throughout this whole process minus the one instance of the missed call, they were extremely professional and helpful. They WANTED to be able to help me and I brought them a device that is very difficult to repair. I was listening to them help other customers while I was waiting and they were great at explaining what was going on with their device and you could tell they really know what they're doing. Read moreWhere do I even start… I brought my wife’s phone in to get iPhone 11 Pro Max fixed, paid before the repair (which was a mistake) came back after the repair to a phone that appeared to have been fixed. Little did I know the screen no longer worked very well it would lag when my wife tried to text or it would have an invisible finger and click letters that she never did. I proceeded to call the store and my wife took the phone back in about four or five times each time they said that they just didn’t see anything wrong with it and sent her on her way. I finally called after all the times of going in and trying to get situation taken care of And demanded a refund and that they could even put my wife’s old screen back on. This was all in the matter of about a week and they had already sent my wife’s broken screen out after knowing about the issue and the only thing the manager would do about it was offer me $150 refund which was only half of the total cost or put a screen on that was completely non-functioning and give me a full refund. The phone screen that was completely non-functional would not work considering my wife owns a business. I would give a zero out of 10 on communication management and all-around customer service. I would never take a phone there again. I will be passing the word on to others to let them know about the situation and how poorly the company handled it I would not refer this place to a friend.
