C-A-L Ranch Stores — Attraction in West Jordan

I first arrived at the gun counter with full intentions of purchasing as well as inquiring about some courses. Nobody was attending the counter so after about 10 minutes I figured I would go shop for the tools I needed and return to the counter later. I could not find the tools I was looking for and i waited around in the aisle looking for about 20 minutes! Finally i went walking around the store to physically find an employee for help. The employee looked up the tool and said they showed it in stock, he then walked with me back to the aisle to look for it. He couldn't find it either so he said he would look in the back. I waited there for about 10 minutes and was just about to walk out before he finally returned without the tool. I asked if he could check other stores since this was also the final day it was on sale and he told me to just call or drive to another store. Frustratingly, i gave up and went back to the gun counter where it was still unattended so i just left the store. made a 2hr drive to this store and left with nothing. I shop almost exclusively with Cal Ranch and every time I have been to this location I have similar results yet when I shop other store locations like Bountiful they are amazing! I called around to other stores and remained on lengthy holds because their systems showed they had the tool but nobody could find it on their shelves so something is clearly wrong with the inventory. I've traveled to 4 different stores in the past because of the same issues with both guns and tools and it's extremely...

We moved a mile from this store last fall and had some good experiences. However, the last two times we've been in, customer service has been awful.

I always pick up and carry out my own grain bags, but a few weeks ago I hurt my back and couldn't lift the bags. I asked the cashier if someone could get the bags and help me to the car with them (something IFA and Tractor supply always ask), and she acted very rude and put out by my request. The young man that helped me was very nice though so I'm giving the second star for him.

Today we went to pick up some chain link or wire fencing. First, it's poor customer service to have all of your outdoor products locked up. You have to wait for them to open the INSIDE door (outdoor gates are always locked anyway) so why can't people go look and browse on their own? Once again IFA and Tractor supply let you look and browse.

Then once you find someone to open the inside door, they don't leave you alone to look. So we asked about pricing on two items and there are no prices posted anywhere outside. So the guy goes inside to check prices (it's cold and windy) and we wait 10 minutes. The guy comes back and says that the cashiers were to busy to look up prices. So only cashiers can look up prices, and no prices are on the products. What? Total waste of time. We will be taking out...

I seriously can't believe this store is still in business!? I went I there this evening to exchange a shirt I bought the other day....couldn't find the size I needed. So....I went up to the cashier asked if she could call another store for me? After all isn't that what retail stores do for their customers? She kept making excuses as to why she couldn't! That they have a new computer program, that she would be calling the other store blind, she couldn't find the sku for the next size down blah blah blah.....and all while the Manger Jason on duty standing right there gabbing to two other girls about other customers! Could he not help her? Every single time I go in there something like this happens. If cal-ranch's ceo cares that much about his company he should really take a hard look at this store here in West Jordan, UT! Guess once again I'll be makin the drive to Spanish where they at least act like they care about the customer!! And, I'd actually wouldn't be giving the store a star at all but, since I have to give one their only getting one star!...
