It's always great to be in Ross-Ade even if they give you cardiac arrest every Saturday. A little about the area for parking. You are going to park a little ways. Parking on the streets in the neighborhood is free. You might walk a mile but you do get a little exercise. The neighbors charge you an arm and a leg but you can park in their yard. If you got old folks you can drop them off around Mackey, the basketball arena and they can be shuttled to the stadium. Stadium has been renovated this year. It looks nice. The students were moved to South endzone and South East side. South East side was rocking not sure how the students like the endzone setup. I walked through there after the game. Honestly a great view. Bench seats throughout the stadium. It spells purdue on the color of the bench. Kind of getting worn down over the years. You can purchase seat backs. I didn't go last year but this year they seem to better than what I remember. Still think the benches need to go. You get crowded and crunched in if a big name comes to town. Field looks amazing as usually. Concessions seemed to be easy to get to. The tunnel is pretty cool too watch the team run out. I have a pretty cool idea to make it look better especially at night. New this year. Restrooms usually aren't a problem. Go, even if you are a Purdue fan. It is usually not for the faint of heart but...
Read morePre-pandemic the most recent year has improvement in food vendor product variety. A couple years ago beer began to be sold and for the most part, have yet to encounter an excessively inebriated spectator. I've had only two bad experiences in 6 years. One was way overcrowding in the RV trailer lot where people are in the lanes; the other the Big Ten network encroached on my seating area at mid-field and refused to move their cameras and not use our seats for their equipment. The attendant essentially told us they couldn't do anything about the BTN problem, they were supposed to set up equipment down at the 20 yard line but of course they didn't. The kneespace is barely sufficient, we used to have upgraded seats and got tired of knees in our backs all the time so moved to the endzone. The audio system's been upgraded as well as video board. You can't get parking nearby unless you're a John Purdue Club member/donator. Yet the end zone seats are reasonably priced (doesn't require JPC membership or added fees). So overall average experience. The concession popcorn is terrible, it can't be Prof. Orville...
Read moreAs an Ohio State fan, went to my first game there last Saturday. Very nice stadium, atmosphere, and concession stands. The ONLY bad thing that happened was right before Halftime, a couple of Karens sitting in Section 125 complained about us not giving them enough space to move in to their “special disabled” seats (even though they had a solid 2-3 feet of extra space to move). And apparently that 2-3 feet of extra space warranted one of them to claim we were “violating the Americans With Disabilities Act”. There were other people right beside us doing the same “wrong” thing (whatever that was) but apparently they decided we were the ones they were gonna call the usher for & pick on. Instead of dealing with more unnecessary nonsense, we happily left the area & found even better seats at the top of the Stadium at the 40 yard line! So it worked...
