Pawsitivity — Attraction in West Linn

Honestly pretty disappointed with the groomer working here… I came here twice, The first time I came was to get a collar for my puppy and when I noticed they did grooming I asked the man who checked me out about their prices, he gave me multiple prices for different kinds of services but the one that caught my attention was the 85$ bathing, nail trim, and hair cut for my dog who is pretty little. Today I went in probably 2-3 weeks after that first experience to schedule an appointment for my dog and the lady behind the counter today told me the same thing. Everyone was very aware of how young she is because I took her in both times. I got quoted the same price the first dude told me for the hair cut, bath, and nail trim. I came in around 9 and made my dogs appointment for 2. When I came in at 2 the groomer told me she wouldn’t do the hair cut because she was a puppy and recommended that we only did the bath and nail trim and MAYBE clean up around her butt and face area for 70$….. and then told me it’s up to the dog for the hair cut. ????? I get this would be her first hair cut but it’s also her first bath and nail trim at a groomers. I am not incapable of bathing or trimming my dogs nails at home and I can even cut hair around butt and eyes. For fee. The only thing that was appealing for us was getting the schnauzer haircut for our schnauzer puppy. And no one told me once that the groomer would recommend a different service or just flat refuse what we wanted because we didn’t take her recommendation…. If the service she recommended was cheaper I would understand and go for her recommendation. But it was only 10$ under the full service we wanted and she would’ve done a lot less work. My husband’s grandmother had schnauzers her whole life and never had a problem getting them hair cuts at the age our puppy is. If anything this is the time to get them used to the full service…. I live right around the corner and have two doggies. The prices are higher than most groomers(I have tried out many groomers in the area) I can get past that due to how close they are. We have booked appointments twice, once your doggie is groomed and ready for pickup they give you a way higher price then you got quoted over the phone. For example I got quoted starting price of $75 for my 10 pound puppy. I sent an email to confirm the price with the groomer so we didn’t get taken for a ride again and she gave me a starting price of $125 instead of $70..just starting price! Drive the extra few minutes and don’t get taken for a ride.. most groomers in the area are honest from the beginning. The first time we went I got quoted around $30 for doggies first groom (just around the face) once finished they said it was $70, thankfully when we told them they miss quoted us they gave us the original price quote. It wouldn’t have been a problem if they had been honest from the get go. We have had no calls or emails with an explanation or apology for switching the prices twice. We very much support small businesses! That’s why I booked a second appointment despite the misquote...

Taylor and Aiden are simply awesome at what they do. Their knowledge of dog nutrition is absolutely crazy. Their products are all high grade with ingredients that are good for your animals. They’ve taught us a plethora of information on all sorts of things when it comes to our furry children.

I’ve seen a few posts about pricing and I think the important thing to remember about the products at Pawsitivity is that the products they have are high quality. It’s not the types of things you’d buy at a large pet store that lasts an hour (or worse) and is unusable, or foods with fillers you’d probably never think about feeding your pet if you knew they were in there. With quality comes a bit of a premium.

Our dogs are our family…We trust Pawsitivity and Taylor and Aiden with our dogs, and our dogs love seeing them every chance they get! Can’t recommend...
