One-Star Review: A Masterclass in Incompetence

If you’re looking to waste your money, your time, and your patience, this is the place for you. We signed our son up for what we were explicitly told was swimming camp…a fun, active program for kids who already know how to swim. We paid for camp. We were told we were enrolled in camp. But apparently, at this wellness center, communication is a mystical art no one has mastered.

Fast-forward to a week before camp starts, and we’re told casually, like it’s no big deal that our son is actually enrolled in swimming lessons. You know, for beginners. For kids who don’t already swim laps in open water like ours does. Confused, we called to clarify. The response? A shrug and a “sorry, camp’s full now.” Their mistake, our problem.

But wait, it gets better: after FOUR DAYS of these redundant lessons, the swim coach casually mentions that our son was actually listed under the camp roster all along. That’s right…he was in the right group, and the front desk somehow bungled the paperwork so badly that he was misplaced into lessons instead. We paid for a premium experience and got a glorified daycare with kickboards.

The manager? Utterly useless. No accountability, no solution, just a lot of corporate-style “we understand your frustration” filler that meant absolutely nothing. The whole thing could’ve been resolved if anyone had taken two seconds to actually check the records.

Bottom line: our son wasted a week doing something he didn’t need, we paid for a service we didn’t receive, and no one at this facility seemed remotely concerned about fixing the situation. Complete failure at every level.

I've only ever tolerated this place for the pool. That's the only redeeming quality about this gym. The service is terrible. Staff communication is absent. The facilities are under repair for months at a time.

For the last few months prior to writing this review, I had been going to this gym regularly to swim. I went to this gym at all hours of the morning, evening, weekdays, and weekends. Everytime I came into the gym (most) of the front desk staff barely acknowledged my existence. I'm fine with not being greeted although I think it is unprofessional. NOT ONCE did any staff member communicate to me that there may be an issue with my account despite several opportunities to do so.

Finally, on a HOLIDAY weekend, I'm informed by a front desk staff member that my account was not only canceled, but the passed due amount had already been SENT TO COLLECTIONS?!?! I was literally just in there the day before on a Friday morning where NO ONE said a single word to me concerning any passed due amount.

It turns out that months ago my card was stolen and had to be replaced. Most subscription services that I did not remember to update had the decency to send a reminder or an alert whenever they attempted to charge my account.

Instead of a call, text, email, smoke signal, or generally make the slightest bit of effort to communicate to me that there may be an issue with my account, ALL THE STAFF chose to remain silent when I walked in. I find that kind of behavior incredibly cowardly and...

I signed up for 6 month contract for me, my two boys and my husband and they marked 12 months and billed me a year. They never even printed me the contract I signed on the computer so I could even see it. I called 3 times, left my number and the manger never could even call me back. I had to physically go in and deal with a very RUDE Botox/filler 👩 who refused to even listen to what the problem was or why no one could even call me back, or how this could have happened. Very unprofessional and Very dishonest business. I’ve never in my life had to deal with a situation of dishonesty and such rudeness from a business. What’s funny is the woman who did my contract last March said “I accidentally clicked the 12 months but don’t worry I fixed it” and she obviously didn’t! They won’t call u back, they won’t do their job, and they won’t be honest or professional. Go to planet fitness. They are honest, they give u the contract and their manager is nice and...
