A friend invited me here today and I was not impressed! The waitress, Jenny, was great and very friendly. But that’s the only positive thing I can say. The location is cramped with maybe 4-6 tables. there’s no decor, just beige walls. But more importantly- the food and service. We waited almost an hour for our drinks (boba) and when it came out a male server comes with just one drink to the table and asked us which one of us the boba tea belongs to. We asked him what kind of tea it was and he said “how should I know? I didn’t take your order!” And walks back to find out what it was. I ordered the seafood Pho which came with 3 shrimp, 3 TINY scallops and one sliced stick of imitation crab. Considering there were about as many staff as there were clientele, I don’t understand how it took so long for mediocre food. Also, the “boba” was not like anything else I’ve ever had. I ordered a bursting boba which ended up being chewy rectangles. Idk. I much prefer Viet House and will return...
Read moreThe food is great, my favorite is the Brisket Pho, but I will not be returning. The servers were extremely rude, especially the lady with the dark hair and tattoos. While my friends and I were eating (I was sipping the broth from my spoon) she came to our table and asked us if we needed to go bowls. My friends loss ther appetite after that and didn't even want to take their food to go, I had to convince them to take their leftovers. As we were packing the same girl came and started packing up our meal, as if we were moving too slow. It wasn't even near time for them to close. Also, I overheard the same girl tell her coworker that the lady that was seated across the room from us needed to brush her hair. I'm positive the customer she was speaking about heard her as well. The owner's great but her staff...
Read moreFinally a real Vietnamese cuisine focused restaurant in the Monroe and West Monroe area. Looked to be a typical menu for most Vietnamese restaurants. We had the pho, spring rolls, spicy beef soup (bun bo hue) and a passion fruit bubble tea. The broth on both the soups was head and shoulders above anything I've had locally, pork in the spring rolls was well seasoned, and the bubble tea was a sweet enough cool down to the spice of the soup . They're having a soft opening for now pending a grand opening soon, so there were a few menu items not yet available or out of stock (looking forward to the bao/buns) and they are still training staff but experience was quite good. They're going to need more space once people discover...
