I had a recent experience at Harper’s Edge Hair Salon that left me quite disappointed. Despite leaving several messages requesting a consultation appointment to remove and replace my extensions, I didn't receive any callbacks. Frustrated, I decided to take time off from my busy schedule and visit the salon in person. I had a brief meeting with Crystal, the owner, and we scheduled an appointment for 9am on a Friday. As a working mom, my time is precious, so I took the entire day off, unsure of how long the process would take.

During our meeting, Crystal mentioned the cost and informed me that she would send me her Zelle information two days prior to the appointment, so I could send a deposit. Unfortunately, the message never arrived, despite my repeated attempts to reach out. Nonetheless, I decided to go ahead with the scheduled appointment, assuming Crystal was simply busy. I arrived at the salon promptly at 8:45 am, only to find it closed. I waited in my car, right in front of the establishment, and attempted to call multiple times when no one showed up by 9 am and even 9:05 am.

Eventually, at 9:10 am, someone arrived on a bike. He was friendly and informed me that Crystal had taken the entire week off. I was incredibly frustrated by this point, as no one had the courtesy to inform me in advance, despite the fact that I had traveled a considerable distance and taken the day off from work. The person kindly invited me inside while he contacted Crystal. According to him, he had just spoken to her on the phone and assured me that she would be calling me soon. It has now been a month, and I am still waiting for that phone call.

Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of communication and professionalism exhibited by the salon. It would have been greatly appreciated if someone had reached out to inform me about the changes in Crystal's availability, sparing me the wasted time and effort. This level of unresponsiveness and disregard for your time and needs is highly disappointing and reflects poorly on their professionalism.
