Want to like this place because itās very cute and cozy but Iāve always been disappointed, and our latest visit will be our last.
I stopped in and ordered a large coffee, the barista said theyād have to brew a new pot and offered an americano instead as it would be faster, I said sure and paid. When my coffee came out it was a small, I said sorry I ordered a large, she said I charged you for a small and pushed the cup towards me like supposed to take it anyway.. I said again sorry I ordered a large, she told me Iād have to go back to the register to be refunded and recharged for the large if thatās what I wanted⦠note the difference in price is FIFTY CENTS. I questioned her, really because you charged me incorrectly? But she insisted.. āyou only paid for a smallā. Okay.. We went back to the register where she casually helped someone else first, got them some pasties, etc before refunding and recharging me and making my drink.
After getting my large I got into my car and left.. after a few minutes the lid what I can only describe as exploded off the top of the coffee, I was not driving so I had been focused on being sure I was holding it carefully, we hadnāt hit a bump, I didnāt squeeze it⦠the lid had been all the way on (I checked) and suddenly it basically combusted off. Sounds dramatic but not sure how else to describe it. The coffee inside was dangerously hot and filled to the absolutely brim, there is absolutely no reason for coffee to ever be so hot or fill, and I actually believe it caused the lid to combust off the top. It splashed onto my hand and I wound up with second degree burns with blisters... Photos attached of my hand 2 and 3...

The atmosphere is inviting and refreshing since opening in 2014 they master bringing the community together. It was pleasant seeing people getting their work done or having light conversations in the seating area. My husband and I ordered their signature beverage, the Cafe Miel, which combines espresso, honey, cinnamon, and your choice of milk. If youāre feeling hungry, youāre in luck they serve food as well. For those who prefer tea, Common Ground offers several options, including dirty chai, matcha lattes or golden milk latte. This place truly caters to everyone. Common ground can be found in West Palm Beach, Lake Worth, and Boynton.
We will definitely be returning. Thank you for your...
