I moved to West Palm Beach in June 2021. I found Harpers Edge on Yelp and it had very high reviews. I first went to Harpers Edge salon back in June 2021 for a Keratin treatment. I was very happy with the outcome.
For some reason I decided to use a different salon a few months later for a root touch up. Big Mistake! I was okay with the outcome and went back a couple more times and got root touch up and balayage highlights. Over the span of a few months, I decided I wasn’t happy with the color. It just became more and more brassy every time I went.
I went back to Harpers Edge for another Keratin treatment and really realized how bad the color was. It looked like I had 3 layers of different color in my hair from roots to tip. My Keratin appointment was with Martine and she was great. I told her how unhappy I was with the color. We talked about a plan and the look I was trying to achieve. I came back a week later and Martine did both all over highlights and lowlights to give more dimension. The color turned out phenomenal and I couldn’t be happier! I have been back to Martine 4 times since for both color and haircuts. I will definitely continue going to Martine. She really understands color well and listens and asks questions to zero in on what the client is looking for!! I will also add that Martine really tries to be as flexible as she can to accommodate your schedule.

Read moreAfter looking up hair salons online and reading the reviews for this salon, I decided to give them a try regardless of their prices, which for me is a big deal since I am a full-time nursing student and do not have the funds to go to fancy salons all the time. First time around my hair turned out great. The hair stylist did an amazing job and spent over 5 hours on my hair alone. Not to mention she was very pleasant and everyone was friendly. I was very pleased and thought "Wow, this salon will become my permanent home". However, when I went back for a root touch up I was HIGHLY disappointed. I left the salon with orange brassy roots that did not blend with the rest of my platinum bleached hair. The overall look of my hair was sloppy and uneven, far from what it was the first time around. It looked as if I did it myself, only I had to pay 4x the amount to look this way. I understand that hair is very difficult and it does not always do what you need it to do, but the fact that it wasn't even acknowledged is what bothered me the most. The other stylist there noticed it as well but everyone pretended to be ok with it. Also, when I got a quote on the phone for a root touch up I was told a certain price, but when I went to pay it was double, plus tip. Very unhappy and...
Read moreGave brandi a picture and a month and a half later I'm still confused when i look in the mirror. She said my hair wasn't thick enough or long enough to cut like picture, even though my hair was past my shoulders and it was a short cut i wanted. . I said cut like picture and it will grow into it (my hair grows fast). Then she told me my hair was thick after the messed up cut. It was too short to even fix and it's so uneven.
If you need a trim, maybe use this salon. Even the stylist look basic.

Still doesn't change the fact that i gave her a picture and she did not give me that haircut.
She also couldn't figure out that i have thick hair with a fine texture.
I said i had a hairstylist that always cut my hair perfect, but since she retired, i haven't found anyone that could just cut my hair and it look good without a picture. Which is ok that's why i had a picture.
Yeah, i was a little upset that i couldn't get a haircut i had picture of and asked for, yet i paid a good bit for that. I would have been happy to have the cut...
