DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER I bought a used 2020 BMW M2 Competition from this dealership, which seems to operate as both Taverna Collection and Palm Beach Mitsubishi, and had a frustrating experience with them after sending funds and was following up with them daily to finalize the paperwork and make sure everything was signed. It took them 3 weeks to get the vehicle delivered to me. The vehicle itself requires thousands of dollars in parts and labor to make it safe to drive, I should have done a pre purchase inspection and that is on me. I have been trying to work with them to resolve the issues or return the car with no visible effort from them, details below.
3/30 - I agreed to terms with the sales person 4/1 - I eSigned the paperwork and sent wire transfer request to my bank 4/2 - sales person confirmed funds were transferred that morning 4/3 - asked about shipping information and was told that a notarized document was required, but wasn't something that showed needed a signature in the eSign service. I signed, notarized, and emailed the document within a few hours. The sales person requested that I resend the document 3 times. 4/4 - Sent a text to sales person asking for an eta on the shipping information and was told it usually takes 36-48 hours 4/12 - sent a text to sales person asking for update - no response 4/16 - called and spoke with sales manager about a shipping update 4/19 - Received email with shipping information 4/23 - Vehicle was delivered and in poor condition, a flat front tire, exterior trim was missing, front tires were the wrong size, interior trim was missing or damaged, the glove box was broken, buttons near the gear shift were stuck and not working. 4/24 - I drove the car to work and my seat belt came undone while driving and was not easy to securely reconnect, it just wouldn't stay in the buckle. I called them that afternoon and spoke to the same sales manager about the issue. I was ready to return the vehicle, but he wanted to consider paying for repairs to fix things. I was concerned that I would be outside the return window (5 days from delivery) and he assured me that because I spoke with him it will still be an option. So I scheduled an appointment with my mechanic for a thorough inspection and to get a quote for parts and labor. 4/25 - Independent mechanic performed inspection - front/rear brake rotors are lipped and rear brake pads were at 2mm, pads and rotors require replacement. Rear tires were worn and needed to be replaced along with the incorrect front tires. The front and rear BMW brake service kit for this car is $2200, replacement factory recommended tires $1600. They didn't bother getting quotes for the smaller items because those two plus the brake service labor would be around $5000. 4/26 - Spoke with the sales manager and emailed him the mechanics report for him, the general sales manager, and the general manager to review. He sent an email to his managers and was waiting for a response Monday or tuesday. 4/29 - Email sales manager at 12pm for an update, they responded at 4:30pm that he hadn't heard from his managers and said they would be in tomorrow. I asked about starting the return process, I was told that either the general manager or general sales manager needs to be involved and they would have one of them contact me first thing in the morning. 4/30 - no contact from the dealership 5/1 - Sent email to sales manager asking for an update 5/3 - Sent email to sales manager stating that I've been trying to get in touch so we can discuss and if I didn't hear from them by 5/6 I would schedule a carrier to return the vehicle. 5/4 - Sales manager sent an email stating that they spoke with the general sales manager and they were told the general sales manager would call me. 5/5 - no contact from dealership 5/6 - Sales manager sent an email stating they spoke with the general sales manager and there wasn't anything they could do. I responded that I would like to return the vehicle, but that's not an option if the general manager or general sales manager...
Read moreI called and talked to Alon at "The Taverna Collection" about a used truck they had for sale. He was very polite and helpful. Thank you, Alon! Update: 7/20/2024, the truck I purchased was delivered July 10, 2024. Before the truck was unloaded from the trailer, I noticed a large dent in the rocker panel, which wasn't disclosed. I also noticed a lugnut missing on the front passenger wheel as well as the brakes, front, and rear that haven't been replaced per the inspection report. When the truck was unloaded, the ebrake was sticking bad and was squealing, and the cable was hanging. After the delivery guy left, I backed the truck up out of the way and put in drive to pull forward a bit, and it didn't move. I had a 5 day warranty, and with all these issues, I filed a complaint the same afternoon with the dealership. After 3 days, they messaged me and said they would be in touch, Monday AM, and set up a time to pick up. Since then, Alon and The Taverna Collection dealership have ghosted me. Don't buy from this dealership! Pictures coming. Update 7/26/24: Received a call from customer service asking me questions about issues I have with truck. The woman said I can return but it will cost me 1,800 dollars. Taverna's website states if your unhappy then you can return if you notify them within 5 days or 250 miles. Nothing about it costing you anything. I discussed this with Alon, salesman, weeks ago, and nothing was disclosed about it costing the buyer to return because of Taverna's negligence. Their website also states full transparency, another lie!! 8/8/2024: Received an email last week stating if I wanted to return the truck, it would now cost me 3,498 dollars. It's doubled in price! This dealership, The Taverna Collection, is the most crooked dealership I've ever done business with!!! 8/22/2024: Taverna employee, Customer service, Bambi called me last week asking me to meet them halfway. I thought ok. She picked out an auto mechanic shop in the area I live in and asked me to get it inspected. I wasn't able to get it in until Monday 8/19/24. I dropped it off first thing in the morning and left the keys. On the way there, I kept hearing noises under neither the truck, thinking it may be a ball joint or something. I received a call later that afternoon, and went to pick the truck up. The noise I was hearing was the 2 front cab mounting bolts were missing! If I happened to get into an accident that possibly could have cost me my life!! Also, there is so much rust underneath the truck that it isn't fit to drive as well. Taverna never serviced the truck before shipping, dirty oil, dirty air filter, no windshield wash, doors creeked bad because of no lubrication and gas light was on. Look at their web page and it clearly states that all vehicle's are fixed both mechanically and cosmetically before shipping to customer. Im getting an inspection at the body shop and estimate as well. I sent pictures as well as inspection report to Taverna, attention Bambi, 2 days ago, and haven't heard a word. With all the rust, I and the auto mechanic think it had been exposed to saltwater. I used to live in Western New York State and never had a vehicle rust like that. Apples to apples, I owned a 2016 Ram sport and that didn't look anything like this truck, rust wise. It also looks like it's been in an accident with inner fender push pins missing and newer lower control arms installed and remember, the dent in the rocker panel that wasn't disclosed or repaired. BUYER BEWARE!!! 8/28/2024: Still haven't heard from Taverna. Take a snap shot of every email correspondence because they somehow have deleted some of the emails they sent me. Good thing I have snap shots and all email threads. 9/1/2024:...
Read moreTHE MOST FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD WITH A DEALERSHIP. Do Better, Infiniti
I’m writing this as a long-overdue warning to anyone considering doing business with Infiniti, specifically the Taverna West Park location. What I’ve experienced here has been not just disappointing, but infuriating a complete breakdown of trust, professionalism, and basic accountability.
I brought in my 2016 Infiniti Q50 for a water pump replacement a service that was fully covered under my extended warranty. Until that point, my car had zero issues. But ever since that repair, it has never been the same. From the moment I picked it up, I was met with new problems, warning lights, and a constant feeling that my vehicle was damaged more by the service than by the original issue.
My service advisor, Felipe, is the definition of unprofessional. He provided zero updates throughout the process, lied directly to my face about inspecting and test driving the car, and repeatedly gave me false assurances. He told me he had personally verified the vehicle and that it was ready to go which I later found out was a complete fabrication. He never even left his seat, let alone checked my car. When I pressed for answers, the truth slowly came out: the car had been leaking in their garage for weeks after he told me it was “good to drive.”
Months went by, and none of my service requests which were clearly documented were fulfilled. Every time I left with my vehicle, I’d receive it back in worse condition than before. I’ve had to seek out third-party diagnostics from AutoZone and Advance Auto because Infiniti’s service department has lost all credibility in my eyes.
To make matters worse, the service manager, Jesse James, is completely unfit for leadership. He blatantly lied to me and my father, claiming that he and his technician had test-driven another Q50 with similar mileage to verify that my car was fine. I trusted that statement only to get the exact same caution notifications within 30 minutes of driving off the lot. When I confronted him about the lack of resolution and told him I would be escalating the matter to corporate, he told me I’ve “been a problem customer since day one” and condescendingly reminded me to “spell his name right” in my complaint then told me he didn’t want my business anymore. That says everything about the level of customer service you can expect at this location.
It’s now been almost a year of being dragged in circles, lied to, disrespected, and left with a vehicle that feels broken beyond repair. Since picking it up from their shop, I’ve received repeated caution alerts that never existed before beyond the routine oil change light. I no longer feel safe or confident driving my own car. At this point, I’m seriously considering trading it in just to move on from this nightmare.
If you value honesty, quality work, and basic respect as a paying customer, stay far away from this dealership. The staff is lazy, dishonest, and clearly more focused on covering their own mistakes than actually helping people. I’m writing this not just to vent, but to protect other drivers from going through what I’ve endured. I’ll be reporting this to Infiniti Corporate in full detail and will never return to this location for service...
