Captain Max — Restaurant in Miramar

I just spent 30 minutes waiting in the drive thru just to get to the window and have them tell me that what I ordered (30 minutes ago) wasn't available. They offered me something else instead. Not for the same price as a courtesy, but for full price, which conveniently for them, was more. When asked why anyone didn't inform me I was met with blank stares. So at that point either I pay for the remaining food, which was mine and leave without my kids', or order the other, higher prices option...which I would have to pay more for. Of course after waiting 30 minutes I'm not leaving without getting my kids' food. So I order and then have to wait 20 MORE minutes for them to cook the food. All I was offered was an EXTRA chicken tender. ONE. CHICKEN. TENDER. Anyway, while waiting for the food I asked for 3 waters for my children. The lady gave me two and walked away. While waiting, I asked to buy a medium soda, that she never brought. After FINALLY receiving my food I asked about my soda. The lady brings me a SMALL soda...which I ended up just leaving and not paying for. Sip it and it tastes disgusting. Can't win for losing. Get home and the EXTRA chicken tenders I received was two small pieces that when put together were smaller than the already small other tenders. Yeah. I'll never...

We came in from out of town so we dedicated Sunday as Seafood day while in town most places we called didn't serve blue crabs, so we felt lucky this spot was close and served what we all wanted. After about an hour of searching we foubd Captain Max. We waited 40 minutes first off once our order was taken to me thats too long when the lobby has one customer and were the customer at the window. We did have 2 orders but that should not matter. They take our order and ask us to pull up, and someone would bring out food out, because we never been here before we pull up to the door then the cars behind us started blown the horn so were lost as to where to pull at, low and behold we pulled around to the front of the building. Ok i go check on the food at the 30 minute mark, to be told the food is steaming now, i go back 10 minutes laters to get the food. Staff wasnt friendly except the lady at the window. Secondly on to the taste the blue crabs were horrible, overcooked and not seasoned as suppose to be garlic, more water than season, the snowcrabs were salty. The fried blue crabs were very good. We were all disappointed. I would never visit again nor would i recommend this spot, unless you want...

On Nov 30 2018 I purchased a 10 PC shrimp/3 pc chicken dinner from this drive thru restaurant after a considerable wait. I paid full price.

When I got home tired and ready to eat after a 10 hour work day I only had 7 pieces of shrimp. I called Captain Max and spoke with a woman named Shania and advised I paid for 10 shrimp and only been given 7. She told me to come back. I replied under the circumstances that would be extremely inconvenient and I was not getting dressed again and coming back up there. I asked for the name of her manager, Donald. Long story short, Shania told me I could come back whenever I wanted and she would give me a free dinner.

Today Dec 14 2018 I returned to get the free dinner. Shania remembered me, did not deny the offer of the dinner, but she and manager Donald refused to honor their promise...and made no other offer to give me, at a minimum what I paid for. So know this is the way this manager runs his business and check your food before you leave. Who knows how many others he has ripped off, promised to make up for, his mistakea, and then refused Good food. Extremely poor customer...
