the easiest way to say is that the owner is set in his ways. i’m a collector from scranton, so it’s a little over a 20 minute drive to this shop. the owner has been rude and rarely helpful anytime i’ve went there. the most recent visit will be my last. i went with one of my friends so he could get one of the new pokemon boxes. they were listed for more than double retail which wasn’t the worst of it. i collect sports cards, so i had no business looking at the new boxes while my friend did. he made time to walk up to me in a slightly busy store to tell me, “i do not want you standing around looking at my bins because of how busy my store has been and will be.” i had already created a stack of cards i planned on purchasing, but i had no issue putting them back. another visit to the store a few weeks ago also left a sour taste in my mouth. again, i was with 2 of my friends. we left work around 3pm to make it to his store a little before 3:30 knowing he closed at 4. we wanted to just look around because we knew he closed relatively soon. the store was packed with not much room to move around. we were only in the store for around 5 minutes before he announced he will not be open much longer and he had “no intention of sticking around.” around 3:40 he had turned most of the lights off and had said he will be closing in the next 5 minutes. the store was still packed, so i was a little confused why he would push out all this business he had so early. i could just be a younger collector who isn’t used to how these older stores operate and function. but i’ve had too many bad experiences here to justify returning. i will not mind making a longer trip to the kingston area for the next...

This place overcharges like crazy but I would still come here to shop if it weren’t for the horrible customer service. Overpaying wouldn’t be an issue for me if the owner wasn’t so disgustingly unprofessional and plain out rude. Considering this is a business where customer service is very important, you’d think the worker would be a little more friendly. Every time I’ve come the worker seems like he rather be anywhere but there and acts like his customers are there to waste his time. Always seems like he’s pushing us out the door, has a terrible tone with us, and overall just seems like he doesn’t want to make any sales from us. I understand every worker has bad days but this worker (or maybe the owner) has consistently been rude and probably the most unprofessional business worker (or owner) I’ve ever encountered. 100% would not recommend...

I have shopped Bob's store consistently for over a decade with excellent service and pricing. Bob has proven to be very knowledgeable regarding collecting, grading and card specifics. He has always answered questions about set building and the challenges of locating low print runs. He has multiple binders of vintage cards and I have searched most of them with ZERO pressure to leave his store. He has assisted in building many vintage sets with nice condition, fair-priced cards.
