Anemone Geysers — Attraction in West Yellowstone

These two little geysers were the first ones I got to see up close and personal. So personal infsct that the one on the right actually sprayed me with a few drops of hot water. It burned a wee bit like being splashed with bacon grease. It was very exciting. Their geological features were very cool, too. And the fact that they drained back down into themselves was very cool to witness, too. It sounded like a toilet...

So much fun to watch and it took us completely off guard. The guide book told us exactly what to watch for and we still almost missed it. Old faithful is the star but everything at the lower geyser basin is worth seeing. Definitely walk the boardwalk and see as take the time to watch some of the other...

It's very cool to catch these in an eruption! The basin will fill up, steam explodes out, and then all the water drains like a flushed toilet. Even between eruptions, they're interesting to look at with the many nodules and dentation, giving a rugged look...
