At first, this place doesn't look like much. But it's a gem! Jon's has a variety of international items that are amazing. From baked goods, dairy products, snacks, beverages; I can find a host of products at reasonable prices that would only be found at higher priced little shops catering to a specific country. But Jon's has it all in one place. And because they don't boast the international part, it's all presented in classic supermarket style.
Some of my favorite items are the smoked Gouda, Russian sunflower seeds, Georgian soda Tarhun, Pelmini, Birds milk chocolate treats. The list can go on and on.
I like Jon's because I can get almost all of my basic shopping done in one place, and satisfy those international good cravings.
Besides the food and prices, there really isn't anything spectacular about this place. It's your typical supermarket. The restrooms are single serve men's and women's so it can get jammed. The store is situated in a plaza with somewhat limited parking. But the fact that I can be driving home munching on my Russian sunflower seeds more than carries this place to give...
Read moreHonest review...this supermarket used to be great with almost all items sold. Now prices seemed to go up a lot and really quick! The meats have really lowered in quality and the packaging is horrible! A baked chicken I bought (that used to be amazing) wasn't even cooked all they way! I saw various meat packages opened, leaking blood, raw meat sticking out, fish sticking out of the plastic wrap etc. I was basically forced to buy almost expired lunch meat because there's no use driving a couple miles somewhere else for a 5$ pack of lunch meat. Never coming back here again I guess this store is crossed off my list. Also I asked various employees for some hand sanitizer for the blood I touched leaking off the meat packages and NOBODY HAD ANY. I had to go next door to Dollar tree for a drop of hand sanitizer! Ridiculous! Guess they had pay cuts or new carless...
Read moreI normally enjoy shopping @ Jon's. Today I could not find Decaf coffee for my Keirug. Jon's has a limited coffee selection. When I went thru the cashier, she asked me if I found everything okay. I advised her about No Decaf, she looked above my head as tho looking for someone. When she bagged my groceries, she put my bread & chips w/large heavy cans. After I paid, I advised her, "I DO NOT LIKE MY BREAD W/HEAVY HARD ITEMS IN THE SAME BAG, I DON'T LIKE MY BREAD SMASHED". I had to remove them. I don't mind broken chips but I don't wana a bag of crumbs by the time I get home. She wasn't a young girl nor too old. But obviously experienced. She didn't care and thought it was fine w/herself. It was not w/me. I had to move to the side to re-bag my...
