Arrived at party store and they were very busy. There were 4 people in line at register. One employee was ringing 2 others were working very hard to get orders out. It was May 2020. A gentleman came out from the back who said he was receiving a delivery and was too busy to help when asked by cashier. I asked where I could look at balloons to purchase, I was told they were behind the counter and to stand at sign "place orders here" . I was told I had to wait. I said no problem. I then was told no more orders can be placed for today or tomorrow. I said ok, I need pick up for Sunday. No response back. The line at register was done. All 3 employees contributed to blow up balloons for orders. I was content to wait thinking they were trying to finish an order someone was picking up soon. About 10 minutes goes by and another customer goes to register with a cart full of items. The same cashier stops blowing up balloons to ring register. I said excuse me, I have been waiting to order balloons. The cashier said we are busy and you have to wait. I said but you are stopping to help at the register. Cashier said, I'm sorry that is my job to ring register. Never again will I give my business to any of their stores. I will shop and support small businesses who appreciate customers....
Read moreWe have been using this company for our business related parties, birthdays, and work anniversary balloon and decoration needs since long before I started 7 years ago. We used to love this location, and part of it we still do. Specifically the woman in charge of the larger balloon orders, such as arches etc., we do love her. HOWEVER this location (Wilmington) has started going down hill for quite a bit. Our last order the "5" was attached upside down in an arrangement (additional charge) displaying a 2... Today, in the heat of July, I requested what the Bear location does with every order and that is putting the balloons in a large bag to make transportation MUCH easier, especially in 98 degree heat we saw today. This request really is a small bit of help. If you've ever tried to transport balloons in a hot car or remotely close to hot metal your popped balloon will tell you loud and clear that they aren't happy. The Wilmington location charged me $1, that I had to put on my company card, for a trash bag. For a trash bag. Its hard to not think its such a small thing, but this is strike number 2.. and I believe my team and I, will avoid this location at all costs. Word of the wise,...
Read moreHave used Fulton paper & party supply for years. Prior to yesterday have had only positive experiences. Went to order balloons and when I arrived ,the store was very busy. I waited 10 minutes before any employee acknowledged me. When they did, it was to say it will be a wait,I was never asked what my needs were. I could see they were busy so I waited. Another 10 minutes passed until an employee asked two more customers who came in after me could she help them. It was only when they said they were waiting to order balloons that she explained it would be an hour because they were working on large orders that needed to be picked up at 2pm. I don’t mind having to wait to be helped. I don’t appreciate being ignored, not being given all relevant information, and having my time wasted. At no point was I told that “the wait” would be an hour. I only figured that out after hearing the person working the register say that to other people. It would’ve been nice to know that when I approached the line to order balloons instead of 20 minutes later. Will consider other options...
