My fiance and I were going to check this place out mostly because we have been wanting to go since moving here 5 years ago and just wanted to find somewhere close to go and get out of the house and have some fun, sorta like date night I guess! We went to play games in the arcade mostly, particularly SKEE BALL but I would have definitely done the double or triple play, because I really wanted to try their go karts out, which that would have included two activities or three plus a ten dollar arcade card, but the young lady said we couldn't split it up and us both get one ride/activity each, then share the arcade card after. So, thinking we'd just skip the activities this time and save some money, we ended up getting a 30 card which gave us $35 to spend but after the machines charged us without even working(specifically the skee ball a few times and the water gun shooting game) we went through what was left in no time. The lady who helped us in the beginning was extremely nice and informative and patient, and later the man who helped us was equally as helpful and kind! We then discovered they have a mini two lane bowling alley with mini bowling balls and we absolutely loved it and had a wonderful time playing, simply because we both have shoulder and hand issues as our jobs have been hard on us, so the lighter than usual balls, and smaller space was PERFECT for us and WAY CHEAPER than the bowling alley and we didn't even have to put on used shoes or anything! I'd have to say that was my favorite part! We ended up buying another $20 card for 23 worth and it went just as fast as the first card LOL SOOO.... In a nutshell, THE COST OF LITERALLY EVERYTHING in the world has went up, and these games are not the exception. I felt "left behind" or something when I realized some games that used to cost $1 each in most arcades have ultimately went up to a whopping $5 now! Also, just to let people know, the food court or grill apparently closes way before the arcade and everything else does, on this night anyways, which was a little disappointing but it saved us from spending more $ so I'm not really complaining and also, if you're planning on going to have some good clean nostalgic fun for a date night, without a loud crowd or bunch of smaller kids running around, etc this was great for that, at least on this Thursday evening it was! I'm absolutely planning on going back again soon myself so I would definitely recommend it to anyone! NOTE; They ALSO have SOOO MUCH more than I mentioned here to do, especially for smaller kids from what I could see, but be prepared to spend some big bucks but worth it! Would've taken more pics but I was too busy trying...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is fun for all ages ! The staff at Jungle Rapids really impressed me today during opening weekend of the summer season for the water park. They really rolled out the red carpet for us patrons. Purchased the All-In Pass for the best value. Enjoyed the Water Park, 2 dry activities and A Meal voucher included.
I must mention how clean the property is. Absolutely spic and span. From the bathrooms, dressing rooms, arcade area, cafe to the water park patio furniture. All clean and well kept. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our Sunday funday. I've never met so many people who were friendly, courteous, well mannered and helpful. The staff cares. The security staff were kind and did a great job ensuring safety. The staff are working hard and actively interested in what they do. The snack bar and pizzeria attendants were awesome. Rick who worked the Laser Tag Arena is really working towards a promotion ! What a polite young man who cares about what he does. We had such a literal blast playing 2 rounds of laser tag. So much fun! We spent most of the day at the water park. Water Park features a million-gallon Wave Pool, Dual Lane Speed Slides, Side Winder, Super Bowl, a Lazy River, Volcano Mountain, Tower of Slides. Enjoyed the 5 water slides, huge wave pool with a basketball hoop and the never ending lazy River. They have a section dedicated to toddlers so they were not in our way. My daughter enjoyed the wave pool and basketball hoop. I've never seen waves as big as the ocean in a pool ! This was so much fun!!!! The slides did not have long lines and the staff worked diligently giving safe detailed instruction and ensuring everyone's safety. We spent the rest of our day enjoying laser tag which we worked up a sweat beating the other teams in. Thanks to Rick for making it fun. We didn't want to leave ! They have so many other activities we didn't get to today. We really enjoyed the arcade games. My daughter loves claw machines and air hockey. All the machines were operating and not dated. We enjoyed $20 worth of games. The value for the All Day waterpark admission, 2 meal tickets and 2 activities was so worth it. Affordable endless fun! I appreciate that we were able to roam mask free inside the building and enjoy socially distancing as well because there were no crowds.
The snack shack bar and grill food were all affordable and delicious. Hats off to the kitchen staff. We can't wait to come again soon. I'm also thinking of hosting my daughter's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is so much fun for the kids. The water park and arcade have so much to offer. It is an amazing value for what you pay. They even have split areas for younger kids which is great for parents of younger children. I highly recommend this establishment to anybody with children looking for a fun filled day, I did have an issue with the way the lifeguards were handling the children. Iāve worked in childcare for 7 years and as a lifeguard before so I understand safety being a top priority. The lifeguards were telling children in the kids area they had to get out of the pool and have a ātime outā for breaking rules. They were not allowing enough time between them and other children going down the water slide.. running more than once when they were clearly just excited and overstimulated by the environment. Although this didnāt happen to my family.. I watched it happen with others. If you are truly concerned about safety speak to the childās parent. Especially if you are in the 8 and under section. An establishment has the right to ask somebody to follow rules or leave.. but I donāt find it appropriate to ātime outāother peopleās children. I watched this occur until one parent began to yell at the lifeguard. Was it appropriate? No. But were the lifeguard going over the top? Also yes. The lifeguard then began to complain to other lifeguards in front of customers about the interaction. I also rented a locker and left my key with the associate at the prize counter. I got a call at 10 at night about the key. I donāt typically get calls this late so it woke my kids up. It was about the key ānot being returnedā. Honestly at this point Iād rather them just have billed me and let me call them to clarify the situation. Calling customers at this hour felt mildly inappropriate. Moral of the story is this place is fun, great for kids and a good bang for your buck. But there is training and learning moments that could be had with staff to ensure they produce a better customer experience for their patrons. Regardless I will return again because I do enjoy going and so do...
