I would love to leave 5 stars, because all the staff has been amazing so far (we've been here for 3 days and are still currently here as I'm writing this review). To name a few of the GREATS...Anna, Paula, Lizzie, Karla, Catherine, Kim (I wish I could remember them all)...I have been with my mom the entire time during her stay and have been there for every hospital stay she's had within the past 10 years, I'm thinking 4 stays (at other hospitals) and have been very fortunate to have great experiences each time. The nurse aid that just came in is the ABSOLUTE WORST I've ever encountered, her name is Raven. My mom just had a knee replacement and hasn't been able to stand on her own since her surgery 2 days ago. She has just been cleared to use the portapotty with assistance. Raven was VERY pushy and rushed her up out of bed and to the toilet, did not let her take the time she needed even though she was in excruciating pain, and kept telling her to sit further back onto the toilet thinking she was going to pee on the floor...one look down there and i could clearly see she was on the toilet. What got my blood boiling was when she didn't want to assist with wiping even though mama couldn't do it herself. When she did "wipe" she didn't even wipe where you're supposed to...how do you become a nurse aid and not know where pee comes from?? I had to say at least 3 times that if she would hold the walker I would wipe my mama. She finally listened when I got a firm tone. To top it off, she wiped her with napkins I had sitting on the table from chick-fil-a because there were no more pampers wipes...
Read moreThe staff was absolutely AMAZING!!!! All of them, including the Doctor, was very nice. I have many health issues & today was a bad day health wise. Their cheerful attitudes truly helped me in more ways then they will know! They did give me a teeny tiny inj of Dilaudid that was 1mg. I have never had an ER injectect such a small dose. (She even told me she poured the rest of the vile out!!!) I swear to God that I didn't feel anything, no pain release head tingle like with regular saline! I told them that too. She said she would come back in a few minutes and give more meds if needed. Instead, she came back with discharge papers. Getting up & walking out was a teeth gritting challenge; as I was still in horrific pain! I will say I explained to her that I was having suegery in a couple of weeks, and if there was anyone I could get some meds to help until then. They looked it all up on my chart to be sure. but only gave a few. (Which I am so thankful for!) They were so friendly and seemed to be caring; which I TRULEY needed them today. We all male mistakes, and I know they have alot going on. Here's to: JOSH ANNA MARIE DR....
Read moreMy husband received surgery here last week. As his designated person there, they told me a series of things would happen if there was a complication with his surgery. Every single one of those things happened and they continued to concern me by saying things like “If he is fine we will give you an update, if not the doctor will wait to speak to you.” They waited for the doctor to speak to me, who came in with a very solemn and sad look in a hushed tone to tell me he was fine. I had no expectation of communication but they said I would receive a text and call at a certain point if he was fine and they would wait to speak to me if there was a complication. They did not contact me at all. My husband’s phone however received a very frantic call from the hospital where they were trying to get someone out of anesthesia and the staff were clearly panicked then said “Oops!” and hung up the phone. They refused to elaborate on that. Surgery went fine but they continuously concerned me through the...
