I want to start by saying the Park and camping facility is very nice. The staff and the amenities were awesome. I would like to address the reservation scheduling. I am very displeased on how the reservation's work. We booked over 2 months out and when the option to reserve our camp space the window popped up for a fee of $35 to guarantee our spot. We paid it on top of the $398. cost for 3 nights. We had 4 spaces side by side and did not know of the booking option to pay all together to reserve each space to be able to camp by our friends. The other 3 however, did not pay the $35 fee and 2 of our outer guests were bumped to other sites. 1 of the sites next to us remained unused all weekend and the other spot was for a 1 night guest. This is very disturbing to not be able to camp with our group and to be charged a fee to guarantee our site. This system of the additional fee is not a good system. You should be able to reserve your space and if the park is at capacity and you feel you need to bump someone that has reserved prior to someone booking that needed a longer site to be accommodated, then this should be done via phone, text or email to ask if the current camper is willing to be moved, if they are in a group or was booked prior they should not be inconvenienced because of someone else wanting the spot after the fact. This system is seriously flawed. I hope this can be corrected and if you feel you need to charge an additional fee, then build that in the reservation and stop overcharging for camping. With all the amenities with paying extra on top of the camping it is a very...
Read more8/7/25-8/10/25 Stayed in hilltop cabins section 700s. The campsite is huge and pretty. Pros: Activities are spread out with main attractions near front of camp: Waterpark, alpine coaster, playground, mini golf, art center, jump pillow and basketball courts, tennis courts and general store. Additional swimming pool by our cabin (walking distance) with basketball ball and picketball courts too. Amenities in cabin: plates, bowls, forks, spoons, butter/steak knives, cups, toaster, coffee maker, blender, microwave, oven, pots, pans, and mixing bowls. *Bring a good big knife though since not provided. Staff is suuuuper nice. Shoutouts to TJ, Yvonne and Tammy (helpline). There's a shuttle that runs every 15 to 30mins at around park. General store sells a variety of items from smores kits to alcohol. There's grocery stores about 20min if needing more provisions. Cons: Ants:( somehow raided just the bunkbeds so 2 kiddos did not want to sleep there. Did request new linens and spray but kids weren't satisfied. Luckily there's a pullout couch they used but made it pretty tight on space. One bathroom for 6 people. We came up with a plan and it worked. There were Additional bathrooms for use close by though. Golf carts are governed at 9 miles per hr and 5miles per hour speed limit on camp grounds. I did see a few kids on electric scooters but not sure if its allowed. Cannot bring your own firewood but it can be purchased at general store and there were 2 firepits by our cabin to use for smore making. They all enjoyed Camp Fimfo overall. Glad it came up on a random...
Read moreYou pay a premium to battle for space at every turn. No sidewalks or bike lanes, so you have to drive to the attractions and compete for parking. It took 90 minutes to order and receive lunch at the poolside snack bar. 30 minutes to ride the waterslide once, despite arriving minutes after it opened (not til 11am, and with unheated water on a 58-degree morning). 30 minutes in line at the Cliff Carver, despite paying in advance for reserved tickets. You get up from your table at the pool, people take the chairs. I'm so over paying for high prices that just get you basic entry into a venue to then compete for every space and experience, and/or paying for premium experiences where you are still treated like a cattle call. It's basically transporting the stress and crowds of city living out into the country. They are still building on cabins, so it will only get more crowded. **It won't let me respond to Fimfo's reply, so I'm adding this edit. This review was written the same week of my visit, which was after their mentioned changes had taken effect. (Meaning the hilltop pool was already open and the new food and beverage system/manager would have already been in place.) We also visited during a mild cold front that brought a thunderstorm Friday evening and 58 degree temps both mornings, so many cabins around us were empty. With that level of crowding with the place at partial capacity, I can only imagine it gets more difficult when at full capacity. My review also did not mention any experiences outside of Fimfo Adventures, as they allege. We never...
